Split Grip Drill to Feel Club Shallowing?

Has anyone that has severe problems with a steep club after transition from yanking down or just not understanding how the club should feel to shallow tried this? I've been tinkering with it but haven't gotten out to the range yet but it definitely helps be get a better feel of what the right arm should be feeling/doing. My question is probably for higher handicapers like myself who, despite lots of lessons from great instructors, just can't seem to come up with a way to feel the correct movement with the clubhead feeling well "behind" them.

For me, YRMV, the split grip is very good for keeping the hands from leading the downswing. When you grip at the top of the club it is very easy to lose the proper wrist angle (sequence issue). The split grip especially if it is a large split really prevents this and gives the feeling of using the body to get to the ball.

Otherwise start like this

drop the club down like this

and swing it forward like this

You can just work on dropping the club as in figure 2 - this is how the club gets shallow and should include the motorcycle and it will drop more (about a foot for driver). Like this

Then when you are ready drop the club and by extending the arms you'll swing it into a release - doing this standing upright, then work your work into a bit more golf posture in however many increments you feel comfortable with. The clubs going to make a loop as you drop it down and then extend the arms - this is an arms only drill - body doesn't need to do anything . Drill combines feel of getting club head behind the hands, motorcycle, and Tyler's wipe move in release.

If you drop the club like Tyler when it gets well below his hands and then bend over into the delivery position you’ll see the club in a great position for release.

In the video Tyler hits balls by setting up and raising the club vertical then doing the zorro loop to hit little pitch shots.

The move to drop the clubhead below the hands is the shallowing move - folks that early roll their forearms have already done the move in the backswing and then have little rom then typically end up rolling them left to steepen and/or come over the top, the ole do the opposite. Can do this with the alignment stick plugged into the grip (for under a dollar) or spend $162 bucks and get a planemate.
