It's a little confusing and here's why....

1) Tour Camerons usually (not always) do not have the "Cameron" machine stampped into the back of the neck

2) Usually you don't see a handstampped and machine stampped at the same time

3) It does have and oval cavity which early and heavier Newport had (especially the Oil Cans)

4) It does have a face / heel stamp similar to some of the Beaches from a few years back but they had a bulkier head and and much thicker topline

5) I've not seen a Tour Scotty come in at 365 grams. His standard weight at 33" (even for Tour models) is 350 grams.

6) Finally, the circle T on the face looks real cheesy IMHFO.

I never said it was "complicated." I said it was a little confusing given the reasons I have listed. Having bought, sold and owned over $50,000 in collectible Camerons over time may not make me a Cammy expert but I believe I qualify for having seen my share of things and for having some knowledge.

Then again...use your own judgement because I obviously don't know what the f-ck I'm talking about.

why is it so complicated?!?! i think i'll just avoid buying tour stuff due to the counterfeits

I definately wasn't referring to you're abilities and stuff in anyway at all. I actually found what you said very helpful. My comment was merely referring to the fact that there are so many different factors for prooving if a cameron was true or not. I was clearly unaware that there were so many different things that could cause the slightest suspision, due to the fact that i don't know anything about this. I don't understand why you find my comment, infact, i believed everything you said in your post so obviously you have to know what you're talking about. Basically, all i was saying is "i won't buy tour camerons because I don't know the differences between a real one and a fake one." hope you understand
