Are these taylormade shafts interchangeable?

Shaft on the left is from my new SIM. Shaft on right is from my Original One Mini (but I got it off eBay from thegolfsource which was the M3/M4 adapter option). You can see the ridge in the middle is very different.

Yes, they are interchangeable. What are the loft ranges for each? TM is always tweaking the adaptors.

2 degrees either way on both. I just noticed the middle variable ridge thing is noticably different between the two.

I want to use the old shaft in the sim head.

Another question I had is the adapter on the old shaft I removed from my mini has a little bit of scratched black finish so it is showing the underlying bright metal. And the top of the adapter has a white residue (I'm thinking maybe just some water got down in there somehow or something). Anything to be concerned about or should I just install it and stop worrying ?

Nope, nothing to worry about. You may want to clean off the residue and just make sure there isn't anything gumming up the teeth, but its not a big deal. And any surface scratches are purely cosmetic. The adaptors are very light aluminum without much by way of outer protection so it is common for them to get scuffed up a bit.
