TM Burner Bubble headcovers turned inside out and other HC musings...

I was rummaging through my basement stash and realized that all my OEM headcovers were sitting in a bag. I had maybe one cover that came with a club actually on that club. I have been using generic looking covers for so long, mostly for security purposes, that I've amassed a collection. Mostly, what I use is the old TM Burner Bubble covers turned inside out. I have 3 that I've been using for almost 20 years now and they've never been right side out since finding out they had the striped colored fur on the inside. What do you guys use for your bag? OEM or other? Anyone else still rocking the TM BB covers?

Man those look crazy. My buddy has a driver, 3 and 5 wood of those. He played the 5 wood until about a year ago. Time to take the headcovers off his hands!

Looks like carpet remnant super store. But they certainly look better than they do right side Out.

 

I just use the HC the club comes with. Although I think if I used an expensive putter, I might throw an old Odyssey Neoprene Cover on it in an Attempt to fool thieves.

one of the 'coolest' things one could do back in the day was turn your titleist 975 headcovers inside. thats for the throwback memory.

I check ebay and the used hc bin at shops occasionally for them. They're usually really cheap if your buddy won't part with them.

For all my putters, including my $30 odyssey white hot, I use a blank AME hc that is all scuffed and dirty. This is more of a tradition/sentimentality thing for me.

Never knew. But then again I was never golf cool. I use a cheap-o black and white stripe knit one for my TM V-Steel. The original HC is pathetic looking now.

 

My bag is all black, white and red so it fits right in.

I am a sucker for cheap-o blah head covers. I have a couple of knit hybrid covers with some holes in them that I got in a bargain bin. I used to be all black/white/red also but now I just try to have as many weirdo colors as I can get on my bag. :D

Never had a TM BB (back in the day, they were the clubs that made you say "Whoa! He's got the Bubble Burner!"), but I had never even heard of turning the covers inside-out, either. Very cool!

 

Now you need some of the Nike FlyKnit Chukkas to go with the head covers! ;)

Those were a little before my golf days but I certainly remember those headcovers. I feel like my brother or father might have one of them somewhere in an old bag. Had no idea but turning them inside out though. Very cool.
