European Tour Golf Courses

München Eichenried is a pretty nice course I'd say. Also as others have mentioned we still have Irish, French and Scottish Open left. British Masters at Close House and the Omega European Masters in Crans will be played on great courses, too.

 

Yeah, the European Tour has several wonderful courses on its schedule. I love the South African venues, especially Leopard Creek.

 

I'll admit I'm a noob to being addicted to golf, but please explain what South Africa has to do with European golf. If we're talking continents, it seems as far away as it can be from Europe. Well, slightly closer than North America, but still far.

 

The European Tour has tournaments that they sanction or co-sanction in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Australia. The majors and WGCs in the USA also count as part of the European Tour schedule.

The European Tour is more like a world tour in reality. The variety of players and courses is one of its big strength's IMO.

huge ET golf fan here..wish US golf was broadcasted the same way..announcers and all!

 

The announcers were flat out awesome today. Give me them anytime. The cucumber talk had me laughing pretty hard.

 

I love the fact that the European announcers don't take themselves as seriously as the US announcers do. They can go off on a tangent, and know that the folks watching the telecast will still enjoy the shots being shown. The time to get serious is during the last hour on the last day of the tournament.

 

By the same token, I was watching Golf Channel last Saturday in their early coverage. Two announcers were having what seemed like an important discussion, and they were the only people on the screen. Hello - there was real golf being played, and Golf Channel was showing the announcers (might have been Brandel).
