Anyone compared i210 power spec verse standard i500 or g400

Play to a 9.6 (basically a 10 lol) ball striking is Average, some days are better then others lol. Currently play g400 in standard loft awt 2.0 stiff and I don’t mind them. They perform well, forgiveness is great and distance is fine average 7 iron off tee 165yds from the turf 155-160yds.

 

But I do hate the looks lol, currently I’m able to test all above but in standard loft and the I500’s are right there with g400. I guess on average maybe touch shorter then g400, but the i210 are a good amount shorter. The i210 are very straight with high ballflight but much shorter, I’d say 10-14 yds carry less. Just seeing if anyone as hit the i210 or even I500’s in power spec.

Not worried just want to relatively maintain similar distances that I have with my g400 irons. The I500’s do that but the standard i210 do not they are a good amount shorter. I was seeing if anyone with power spec could advise on the increase compared to the standard. I’m not looking to add distance just maintain or stay close to what the g400s produce, in a much nicer looking profile. If that makes sense

Did you compare the specs? The i210 lofts are weaker even if they are power spec'ed

Even if you powerspec'd the i210, the 7 iron is 31.5 vs the i500 30.5. So essentially, youre still be gona be give take couple of yards shorter than the g400/ i500. And if you take into consideration of club properties (hollow spring and spin), you might even be about 4-5 yards shorter. Either way youlook at it, your powerspec'd i210 will be shorter than both the g400/i500.

 

But its only a couple of yards here and there, mostly in the mid to longer irons. youll learn to adjust when you have a nicer looking club and you ll forget about distance.

Lol I agree with the nicer looking club. That’s solely the purpose of the change, I really can’t complain about the g400(guess I’m a snob). Luckily at a local range I can test the both irons in standard lofts with an array of shafts so this will be a busy week swinging

Play what helps you play the best golf. I've gotten it in my head before that I need to play something more "player" like only to take a step back on the course. Nobody cares what clubs you are playing if you are shooting low scores.
