I'm still fine playing the Quarry, just wasn't sure if we were changing venues based on @BogeyPutt34 's comment.

> The Quarry hasn't started taking tee times yet that far out so I guess the big question is what time does everybody want to play? I don't know what the drive looks like for some of you so I would guess anything after 9AM but before 12 could work. If you are driving a bit, let me know if you prefer the early or late start.

I’ve got a couple hour drive from outside Columbus. I prefer a late start.

> Hellstorm and I just played the quarry this afternoon and we’re not sure it’s a good course for this type of outing. Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice, greens are good but a bit slow. There’s several blind tee shots, several dog legs that are blind and misleading. It’s one of those courses that you’d have to play a couple times to get your tee shots in the right spots.

Hawks nest still an option?

Update: I just called Sleepy Hollow and they won't take a tee time until 12 days before...so I have to call back next Monday. The guy did say that they have a big group going out between 10 and 11:30 so it looks like I can get us times between 9:30 and 10:00. I think that should work for everybody. I will call first thing next Monday morning to get those times.

FYI....there are tee times available at 9:00 and 9:40. The pro said they are aerating the greens that Thursday though so we have that to consider. It's still $58 to play but I'm not sure anybody wants to travel to play on aerated greens. Do you want me to find another place like Fowlers Mill or something near there that is more playable or just stay with Sleepy Hollow?

I'm fine moving things to Fowlers Mill. Looks like they make tee times 10 days out, so get something set up tomorrow if people are okay with changing venue?

I’m not going to be able to make it. First deal fell out of contract on the condo.

I’m hopefully closing on a second deal on Friday the 13th. Waiting on the appraisal. If I close in the 13th there will just be too much going on with the move to take basically the whole next 2 days to golf. If I went up Fowler’s Mill I’d stay the night and play a second course Sunday. It’s a long haul for me.

I know it’s a bit late to post this, but Group Golfer is currently offering Fowler’s Mill until midnight for $37 including rage balls. The coupon is good until next June.

Have fun up there guys! I’d be up for an October outing before it gets too cold.

Fowler's MIll has a giant outing on the 14th. Windmill Lakes can't take two groups until later in the afternoon. I asked around a little and was told that Valley of the Eagles is a pretty nice Jack Nicklaus (Troon) course that is a redesign of an older course. They have two tee times before 10:00. I believe it is 20 minutes west of Cleveland which basically means it is a drive for everybody except Bogeyputt. Is everybody OK with that course or should we try for something later. Valley of the Eagles is aerating this week so they should be good by the 14th.

The layout looks nice, but looking at some recent reviews it seems like there is a consensus that the course conditions aren't great at the moment (I guess the course was just finished in 2017?):

"Tee to green is nice but the common grounds need help, cart paths are gravel which was horrible. I feel like I was on the baseball diamond all day."

"For a Troon course not in good shape the layout is crazy not impressed"

"Save your money the course is 2 to 3 years away from being what you expect. GPS devices do not work and only markers are at 150. Fairways need more time to fill in. Bar and food were great."

"First and last time I will play this course. Very poorly maintained.

I paid top dollar to golf and was very disappointed. Golf cart broke down, would only take credit and at the turn at 10:30 no snacks were available."

"One of the worst experiences I’ve had on a golf course. Grounds crew guy was taking a pee behind a tee box that I was on, course is in horrible condition and it looks like they have goats doing the maintenance"

"Highly disappointed in the course. I Couldn’t wait to take my father in law and he said he would never play there again. The course was in terrible shape, the tee boxes were cement, broke numerous tees trying to get them into the ground. The fairways were burnt out, like hitting off of cement. Most disappointing is the landscaping, it is not maintained at all! You can’t walk into the taller grass areas because they are covered in 3 foot tall pricker bushes. The bunkers are full of rocks and terrible sand. The only holes in decent shape are the ones closest to the road, so passerby’s can see them, the further away from the road you get, the worse the conditions. For being a Nicklaus design, I was expecting a lot more."

"Dirt cart paths throughout course. Expect to be covered n dirt by end of round. Gas carts and long drives between holes. Rock Hard and many bare spots. Target golf is not much fun when you have to guess if your wedge shot will bounce 10 to 40 yards after it lands. Trying to hit wedge shots around greens is like chipping in a parking lot. Remember Blue Heron's conditions?"

All those reviews were in the last two months.
