Hi, anyone playing these clubs, particularly the irons. Looking for reviews. Thanks.

Something similar and yes maybe a tad more forgiving. I no longer use the 737P but they were good clubs. I bought a single Honma XP-1 6 Iron 26* to use as a 5 iron to match with my Miura CB 57s. I have not hit the XP-1 6 iron and I'm curious how the entire set plays. Thanks.

I purchased a set of the XP-1 irons as a part of a backup set that I am building. My gamers are Apex CF19's. Both sets are built the same way - 1/2 inch short and 2 degrees flat. Both sets have Recoil shafts.

I have been evaluating the XP-1's against the Apex's for the last few weeks and find them very comparable as far as distance goes. The XP-1's may be just a little bit longer. Spin I would have to give the advantage to the XP-1's. I could probably game either set, but I should note that the XP-1's have slightly larger heads so they are just slightly off putting for me. I think I prefer the smaller head of the Apex, but after saying that, I think I may be more consistent with the XP-1's but my ego still leans towards the Apex's.

I do feel that the XP-1's are softer feeling and so in that respect, I enjoy hitting them.

All testing was done indoor on a launch monitor. If you have any specific questions I can answer for you, just let me know.

Thanks for the feedback. The XP-1s may be what I'm looking for. I hit the 6 iron last night at the range and liked the feel and forgiveness. Solid club. Honma is also releasing the TR 20 irons which also look very good. One last question, at address, can you see the cavity of the irons in the 7 to 10? Like a protrusion? Thanks again.

Are the soles on the XP-1 irons thick like the Honma TW-X for example?  Thanks again.

I'm not playing, but two of my playing partners are. Irons are similar to ap1 in size. More forgiving than the titleist tough. Driver is quite light, nice sound and draw biased. It seems to launch high and the shaft plays weak to flex in driver. Not so much on fw woods and hybrids.

I'm looking for larger clubface irons with less offset...do these qualify...?

stealth 2 plus, 10.5 Titleist 6x tr blue

Cobra 4 iron
G425 5 and 7 woods red ventus 90x

Tsi2 3 wood RDX black x

PXG 0311xp 5-gw, 0211 G,SW,LW  Wilson ci11 w/ ctaper 130x

Titleist sm9 s400 56,60
2ball blade
Titleist v1x

(Just had a shoulder replaced and I am buying clubs for my fantasy bag).

Will bump for others that aren't OP but are also interested. I can confirm that the XP-1 line is bordering on super game improvement in my opinion after looking at them and comparing them to the 747 line. The hybrid and fairway wood heads of the XP-1 line appear massive in size. The irons seem more like a regular game improvement iron set.
