Intown Golf Club

Hello, has anyone heard of the intown golf club? Looks like they're leasing some office space in buildings. The one in buckhead is intriguing to me because I could almost walk there.

I've met with some of the founders. They seem sharp and I think if it's done right it will be a killer idea. I also heard David Cummings (successful investor and entrepreneur) is backing it.

From what they said, they are trying to create something that is a bit more diverse than your average country club but still has all the great benefits. It will probably come down to price point for me but if I have the coin to swing it I will be joining no doubt.

I think the availability to the trackman bays will be importnat and also making sure it doesn't become too much of a "boys club", at least in my opinion...

I had a phone call with them a few months back before the they opened the Buckhead location. Seems like a cool idea, but I don't work or live close to that location so it didn't make since.

I have met with the founder and heard the concept. The renderings of the space look fantastic. I believe it will be successful because it can pull from two demographics. One would be the members of clubs whose courses are out of the city (PDC, Cherokee, AAC, etc.) and then the younger guys who have not yet joined a club. The bar area, restaurant and indoor putting green looks amazing. I believe it will be a “good hang”.

Is there any pricing information on this.  Is it still on track to open in early 21?

This is a very intriguing idea. Could be a great place for drinks/trackman work. Also a great idea for members of other clubs that work in the area for lunch/practice. I could see myself spending rainy Saturday's watching football and hitting golf balls for sure.

 

Should be easier and less expensive to find in-town space for these in other cities moving forward.

Reach out to them directly. They have been pretty open about it. I know of a couple members who are on this forum. Right now, they aren't accepting new members for the first location, but they are accepting applications as they determine the usage rates, they will probably open up memberships. 

 

Not sure about the future location timelines, but again, I think you could inquire about those as well. I think the first month or so has gone well for them though at the Buckhead location.
