Amen, brother. I cannot believe that they are not offering the MX-300 in lefty, but they are offering the MP-68 in lefty. The MX-300 is exactly what I've been hoping for for the last 3 years....they finally make it and it's not offered in lefty!!!

I really like the reasons you support and shoutout these guys... they have made you feel Special.. and I had the same experience with them...maybe a little over promotion...cool with me.. ...

So I've now got a plan..I am gonna ride this bag of mine down a little closer to scratch and then have the best clubmaker I know build a set of EZ-1's (maybe AR-1's) and a set of Miura's (102/202).. and wedges and do one of my bag against bag square-offs.. keep all the stats and see what I end up with... the set that wins..gets a Mackenzie Walker bag to sit in for a year and no pics on eBay!.. the problem is I just can't believe that any set of irons would be better than the ones I have now!!;)... so I'd rather take the money and visit Bandon, Whistling Straights, Hamilton and Sea Island which are on my Schedule in pencil for next year... Bandon and Hamilton for sure...Nice to feel that way about your bag.. Super.. then you can pay attention to your driving, short game and everything in between... Very Cool... 'Nite Guys!
Just make sure you do Bandon above all else!
been there a few times and was one of the first to play Pacific... my wife and I met in Eugene and she loves OR... Will likely retire somewhere near Bandon... I will camp in the woods if possible.. Really, Really love the place... it suits my soul.

thanks :partytime2:
A mid-capper would probably do better with the MX 200, as stated in an earlier post. The little bit more offset can be helpful to a mid-capper.

I am an 18 and LOVE these irons. I have no problem hitting them. Switched from MX-23, these are better! My thought is hit what you like to look down on and makes you comfortable. GREAT IRONS!!!!! Best I have ever owned!
Best ever? I have had my 300's for about a month, and played several rounds with them. I look at it this way, do you like a thinner top line? these have it. Do you like a forged
club? these have it. Do you like a forgiving iron? these have it. Do you like less offset?
these have it. Do you like a more compact club, these have it. Do you like a taper tip?
these have it. Do you like a satin finish? these have it. Do you like a club without the
glaring graphics? these have it. Do you like an OEM that can customize with lie, loft
and shafts, these have it

You can find clubs that have even less offset, and you can find clubs that are more
forgiving, etc. But you would be hard pressed to find a club that incorporates all these
features in one head and one OEM.

So best ever? You won't really know until you have it!!
You know what? You just described my i-701 Srixons to the Dot!!!! :D

Second that. I have decided to boycott Mizuno for that reason. Sold my custom MP-52s (really nice clubs BTW). I was really more interested in the MP-58s - also not available in left hand.

My feeling - unless someone proves me wrong - is that this is a cultural thing with the Japanese and not as much a business factor. Lefty is "shifty" in Japan.

It costs around $50,000 to set up a left handed version of the tooling. I can see why this may be a problem for, say, Miura, but for Mizuno, no way. At the least they should offer it in custom, like Callaway (home of lefty Phil) does with the X Prototypes.

Add Bridgestone and Srixon to this list. Lefty friendly? Titleist, Ping, TaylorMade, and Callaway.

People shouldn't get left out because their left handed. I feel for you guys. I would be extremely irked. Its hard enough to find irons that agree with you without having to worry about them only coming in a backwards model......

I am not saying i'll never play a mizuno club, but it does irk me and makes me lean towards Titleist, Callaway, Ping, Taylormade like you mentioned.

I boycott Bridgestone for the exact same reason.....If you don't offer your clubs in lefty.....why would I support you by purchasing your other offerings such as balls. Add Mizuno to the list. 10% of golfers are lefty.

After a reshaft. Went from the stock Gold Plus (awful for me) to DGs300's. They came alive, the difference was night and day.

They might not look as good at address as the newer offerings, but not terrible. I also like that you don't see the cavity in the long irons at address

For me they play like an oversize blade except the feel is not as "crisp". Plus, unlike a blade, misses lose 5yds. instead of 10-15.

Has anyone tried the mx-300 with PX 5.5 or 6.0 ?
Im Thinking about getting this setup. My 58's are great but i need a little more forgiveness and these are so similar to the mx-25 that I loved so much. If anyone has reshafted with Project X then post how they worked out for you, did you like the feel compared to the stock xp shaft?

Biggest mistake of golf trading was selling my EZs. Great clubs and I sold them way cheap.

Took me over 3 years plus a lot of spending and disappointments to get back to something 'better' that I was happy with, my current TM Japan r7 Forged, which I find very similar in many ways to the EZ and maybe a slight improvment.

The MX300 piques my interest tho so I will have to give them a wallop when I finally see them.
I also have JDM MX-27, which is kind of similar to this new club with moderate offset and a deeper, rounded sole - definitely not as nice to hit as the EZ though. [big nostalgic sigh]
I've read some reviews about the mx-300's and it seems to be a "best of all worlds" iron, forgiving but with somewhat the look and feel of a blade.

Just wondering from the folks who have tried the mx-300 … are they really that good or are there other comparable older irons out there that maybe just as good as the mx-300 but less expensive?
This years "best ever" will be replaced by next years "best ever" and so on. Funny how the best ever rarely translates into "best ever" scores which I think is what golfs about. If you like the sticks great and enjoy but to my mind the "best ever" is temporary at best.

Just put my order in for 4-gw w/ 5.5. I took the 6 iron out this past sunday and used it on a couple of holes and was very satisfied with it. I just hope the px5.5 feels better than the Dynalite XP. Not that this is a bad shft I just like the way the PX feels throughout the swing and the 5.5 weighs in at 3 grams lighter than the stock shaft.

Run Bird,

I'm curious as to why you're moving to the MX300 from the MP 58. Also, why are you going with PX over your current KBS tour shaft? I'm not doubting you here, I'm just curious as I'm searching for a head/shaft combo myself and thise two are on my short list. If you're simply club ho'ing just for the sake of it I'll understand

Well to answer your question, I love my MP-58's but Im searching for a little more forgiveness. I played the best golf of my life when I was playing the mx-25 so I figure that these are the closest thing to that. Im guilty of being a club ho but at the same time Im swollowing my pride that told me I would have no problem hitting the 58's and getting the clubs that I should have gotten to begin with. I went from the AP2's to the mp-58's and should have just gotten the mx-300's. Now on to the shaft, I guess Im one of the few who isnt crazy about KBS. I like it in the long irons but the short irons dont work for me. They feel dead to me. I have always loved the way the PX shaft has felt, the way it loads and releases suits my fancy just fine. I have played the 5.5 and the 6.0 and think that the 5.5 is better suited to my game since I have a smooth swing. Hope this answers your questions.

Anyone play the mx-300 with Project x shafts?
