golf galaxy question

I was wondering if anyone knows if golf galaxy would let me get fitted for titleist ap2 710 irons but not buy them there. I could order them from a guy at my golf course for a cheaper price but would like to still have them fitted. Any help/ input is appreciated.

They might ask that you pay for the fitting (usually between $20 and $50 for most places) but I don't think they would have a problem fitting you properly for them. I don't work for them, so this is only my guess.

You will pay for the fitting. This will likely eat up your discount.

I would suggest that you take into consideration the overhead that GG or Golfsmith need to have to give you the service (fittings, huge inventory, launch monitors, etc) before having them fit you and then purchasing for a few bucks cheaper somewhere that doesn't have the same.
Make sure to be upfront with them that you'd like to get fitted for AP2's but want to purchase at your course for a discount. Most likely they will either charge a fairly minimal amount to fit you, or fit you AND match the price.
Just my suggestion, knowing that if everyone went there to get fitted and try out clubs, then purchased online or somewhere else for a discount, those major retailers would go out of business.

how acurate are gg fittings. what do they use to fit( Launch monitor/ simulator). I am looking to get a titleist d2. would they have many shafts

First question: Why would you ever get fit at golf galaxy?

If you really want to get fitted at GG, I would consider asking them if they could match the price.
