I am furious

I had something similar to this happen to me EXCEPT for that the "cheating was put on me" Now sometimes kids get pissed when your better than them right. Well in one of our golf matches i was playing with a guy from a school who possibly had the worst golf team on this entire nation. Well the kid shot 64 on nine holes and I shot 40 kinda hard to concentrate with all that going on. Well this kid had a reputation for "accidentaly" writing the wrong score down for you so i kept my score and he kept my score too. At the end of the round of course what else is new he had me down for 42 so I had him change it and he forgot to change the score to a 40 when i got in i went looking for him couldnt find him went tld my coach and WE changed my score to a 40. Well sure enough the kid went up to the effin coaches of his team and told them that I CHANGED THOSE SCORES.

Lets just say that me and this kid arent on well grounds anymore.

Now another kid on my team has a record for cheating and HE does he lies, cheats, and does all other crap. But he believes what hes really saying.

Its a sad thing that Golf has come to this face the facts you played like shi* we all have those days get over it just dont cheat or lie.!.

 

And yeah ive told on some players before even on my own teammates in qualifiying matches you dont cheat someone out of there place on the team because what if it was your spot!

Hows this, in my first tourney (i was 9) i shot a 38 on a 9-hole course. Well I ended up being dq'ed because I played the correct tees. The kid that won shot like a 58. The starter had us play the white, and the kid that won played the red. His dad was the one putting on the tourney, that was just sad.

In my first ever tourney this year, i was playing with this guy who was doing bad for how good he said he was. He of course started to give me the wrong score. The first time he said that he got a 5 and he really got a 7. I reminded him that he got a 7 and he was okay. But what really pissed me off is that after i corrected him he kept telling me the wrong score. To win the tourney you had to beat Cody Palendino and this other kid who shot a 69. By the Way, Cody is one of the top 100 juniors in the nation and has a full ride to Baylor, so the kid i was playing with had no chance of even getting in the top 25 and getting points for the tour. Even with cheating he shot a 85 and he said that he was a 2 handicap. Next time i am going to tell but i had no idea what to do because it was my first tourney.

We had a kid on our team who cheated and his dad was the coach. When he finally cheated in a match, his dad actually called him out on it! It was quite a site to see, but needed to be done. Honesty always repays you in some way.Golf makes you either a better person or an even more apt to cheating, you just have to decide how you will take it

 

Honesty does always repay you in some way. This was pretty weird: Last monday I played in a tournament and on the second hole, I put my ball in the woods and had to hit it backwards (upside down clubhead) and advanced it about 2 feet away from the tree. I then proceeded to hit that shot on the green and 2-putt for bogey. Both guys thought I got par because neither of them saw my hack shot back in the woods. I admitted I got par not bogey, and they didn't believe it for a while. After that, I went on to par the next 3 holes, and then only bogey on the #1 handicap hole, then another par. I was +3 thru 7 at a tough course in high winds. But then, I hit my tee ball on 8 into some guy's yard. We didn't know it was OB, so I didn't hit another ball or anything. When we got up there, there were white stakes, but instead of going back to the tee, the guys in my group just said to drop one and play it because we didn't have time to go all the way back to the tee. Well that was dumb; I made triple. There's something about doing the right thing in golf that just feels right. Going against the rules was dumb move on my part, and I payed for it. I think karma bit me in the a** that day.

i have a story like the guy above me.. im a senior in HS this year and my sophomore year i was (and still am) our number one player because we lost five seniors the year before. anyways we were playing a match against our rival school and i was paired with the league MVP for the last 2 years. the first hole is a par 5 and i ended up with a really bad lie in the rough with my third shot. i barely moved the ball and he didnt see it so when i holed out for my six he said "nice par". well i looked back and said "no that was a bogey i chunked my third shot in the rough." that was two years ago and i have since started working with him at the same golf course and he brought up that match the other day and said, "you know you earned a lot of respect that day by being honest about your score. not a lot of people in this league would have done what you did." :rolleyes: so im going to have to agree and say honesty will pay off for you in the end and you are only cheating yourself by lying about your score.

Its better in the u.k simple one on one matches matchplay 5 ina team.

Ive got a boy in my county (who has the lowest handicap) and he cheats so bad!! Once when i first started i played with him and he put a ball down in the rough and said HEY BOYS IVE FOUND IT, then suddenly i found his original ball! That was pretty funny but I just let him get on with it, and just cheat himself! I beat him this year anyway in my Junior Club Open fair and square and it felt sweet!

 

After a year of playing golf when i was 14 (im 16 now) I cheated once I admitt it, Ive never told anyone this and it was in a local junior open I was crap those days anyway I said I had 5 when I had 6 really but I made myself N/R on the 15th because I couldent keep playing I felt so guilty plus i think karma had me because i started playing terrible! And trust me on this ive never even had the word CHEAT in my head again! ITS TERRIBLE! Gotta learn these lessons in life tho!

Dude this stuff happens to me all of the time. Just yesterday in practice I am about number 5 on our team and shot a 44 this guy behind us is like 3 over through 2 and somehow when me and the coach leave him and a couple of others to play by themselves he starts getting birdies and pars. I know for a fact he cheated because everybody that played with him said he did so I do know what some of you go through.
