C'mon now, Callaway. How about a tour yellow version of the Gamer V2? This is my Spring ball, but have had some luck with the Q-Star (yellow) as well. I am trying to remain loyal for the start of the season!

What do folks think about this? Am I the only one? Hopefully, this won't be the shortest thread on WRX...

Yep, sorry. you're the only one ... yellow golf balls are as "yesterday" as white drivers.

i wasnt sure, i bought the 90 for 60$ deal on ebay and figured the guy was selling them so cheap because he got a heck of a deal on discountinued balls. i was just assuming, no facts. sorry for any confusion

Did last year's V2 have a dimple in dimple cover? Just on TF's website and the V2 they show does have dind. Thanks

That seller was blowing out the older 2010 green packaging. The black packaging/new stamp was released in early 2011 but the actual ball remained unchanged. The black box will be around for 2012 (beyond that who knows).

All Gamer's have had the dimple in dimple cover.

idk about yellow golf balls. Never really been a fan. But i love the gamers so much that i would probably play them even if they were yellow

I bought of a box of the Gamer V2s at my local shop after reading some positive reviews and posts about how quality and value of the Gamer, and let me say that I am impressed. For $19, I got 15 balls (it came with a bonus sleeve), so I wasn't worried if I hated the ball--I could just use them for practice. The Gamer is long, doesn't seem to have to much side-spin (some of bad shots--the ones, if you are like me and hit the ball very high, you cringe while it is in the air and at the wind's mercy--didn't seem to be as bad it should have been), and is soft enough--it definitely doesn't feel like a Pro V1 or a top tier ball around the greens, but it is most definitely not a rock. I think the NXT is comparable. I usually use a Pro V1 but was looking for a cheaper ball and just wanted to try something different. This may become my go-to ball. I tend to spin Pro V1 too much with short wedges--the Gamers stop and a can be spun but I don't the fear of spinning them off the green like I do with the Pro Vs. The only downside to this ball if you are coming from a softer ball is that it doesn't stop as quickly and probably rolls out further than a Pro V type ball, but it still works very well around the green. The Gamer V2 is a great ball and I highly recommend it.

I sent an email to Top Flite and they said at this time they have no plans for a yellow Gamer.... Bummer.

Love the original gamer but the V2 not so much. I would love if they sold the gamer in yellow, I would probably try it again.

I doubt you will never see a Yellow Gamer since Dick's purchased the Top Flite brand. Stock up on your V2s while you can or wait until the obvious liquidation Callaway will do.

I really hope this ball is continued to be produced without watering it down or changing the price.

Cool. Thanks for the response. I've seen people refer to the 2010 version as being inferior to the 2011/2012, so I guess that is not true.

I doubt the Gamer v2 is a production item. Seems like final phases of warehouse clearing. I base this on time it has been out (v2), how much it is discounted everywhere, and sale of T F brand by Callaway.

Anyone selling it super cheaply is buying at low, high-volume wholesale. Already seeing this with Diablo Tour and CHROME balls.

Callaway seems to be in spin mode with their ball models.
