I also just came back from Phoenix and did try my friend's Gloire at Troon North. While the static weight of the club is lighter than normal, yet the swing weight is D4 so it does not feel light when you swing the club. Unfortunately i have a bit of trouble adjusting to the standard length at 46.75" as my own 1st generation with Fire Express 55 is only 46" but about 15g heavier in total weight. The face looks closed but it is the same spec as the 1st and 2nd gen. Feel of the face and sound is definitely better than the 1st generation. With the right shaft and balancing of the club, this could really be a killer.

Opinions are fine. One mans treasure I guess. I think it's one of the coolest heads I have ever seen. Looks even better on the ground at address. Also happens to be the most forgiving and best feeling head that I have ever hit. But I realize there are still a lot of golfers that prefer very traditional clubs.

No other comments on these? Anyone else tried them?

I picked up a mint Gloire for $499 shipped. The stock shaft is too long and too light but it is the best feeling club that I have ever hit. I will also go on record as saying I have never hit a club more forgiving. I tried mine with a borrowed ADDI 6 stiff and did not miss a fairway no matter how hard I went after it. If you can find a used one at a fair price it is well worth the money.

The same amount that are PAID to play them. TM isn't going to pay someone to play a club the US market player isn't going to buy because he can't afford it, yet.
Not too many years from now they will. Just as I said in the opening post, as soon as they make (develop) this technology cheaply it will be what we all play a few years from now.

Kinda like the 80" HD I just bought at Cosco for about 5K that sold new for 20K a few years a go......

I think the Gloire is great and I love my Ryoma Maxima. I honestly don't care how many PGA tour pro plays the Ryoma or Gloire. I certainly don't buy the clubs used by the US pros. Ryoma certainly wouldn't pay pros to use their clubs which is perfectly fine with me. Those who play JDM know whats good or bad.
I didn't mean I play clubs just because the pros play them, but it is indicative of how well the best in the world think of the clubs. I don't think the pros play what I play, Callawy XHot irons graphite, XHot fw's, and Ping G20 driver. I use these clubs because they work for me. If you like the Gloire, fine, spend a gob of money on it, but for most amatuers, I think others would work just as well a fraction of the price. JMO.

I guess if you knew what you were taking about it would be different. Where are you coming up with a "fraction of the price"?

Mine was delivered to my door for just under $500. Go price a new TM, Cally or a new Ping driver. :blind:

I'm waiting on mine to arrive patiently.

You will love the head. Contrary to the nay Sayers who wonder in to the JDM section it is a great club. I know plenty of people who buy US clubs with an upgraded Shaft and still spend well over $500. This technology is something special.

Definitely can't wait to try it. I hope I can find the right shaft for it.
Make sure you get the right shaft for it or it's going to feel clunky.... I've put a Chrome, Rome, and Kiyo white in it and still can't make it work...may have to swallow my pride and put the B. Asha back in play.....

My 2014 Gloire hasn't arrived yet, but I'm finding the 2012 version the same. It seems to be very picky on getting the right pairing of not only shaft, but static and swing weight. The heads quite a bit lighter then what a lot of us are use to and that's requiring changes.

A couple people have reported good success with the Tour AD MT.
Please share your results. The AD mt keeps coming up and I am frantically searching for a shaft. I have a quadra fire coming for the weekend. We will see.

i just received an MT 5 and 6 yesterday., Will try the MT 5 first.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
