S-Yard XV 3 Wood

So real curious as I would appreciate any info on the S-Yard XV 3 wood. I want to get one to replace my Tour Edge Exotics XCG7 Beta. What does everyone who has one think of it? Was it a good investment as I hear that they are fantastic to use as a mini driver. What club did it replace? Any regrets as they are not cheap? The little info I could find out really was very good but I need to hear as much from others who have one. Thanks need something to keep my Ryoma D-1 Max. happy

Real Deal

Don't think there's a better 3 wood for off the tee. Still easy to hit off the deck.
I have 10 different 3 woods and this is as good or getter than any of them. Very
traditional look.

Keep your eyes open as used ones do surface, not often but they do surface. I
recently sold one (had two of them) and my buddy told me to see if the guy that
bought it wanted to sell.... the buyer told me sure, "over my dead body"

Longest, most accurate 3-wood I've ever hit. Can work the ball or hit straight out missiles. Wonderful sound and feel coming off the face. Just doesn't get any better.

Hot boring trajectory. Very good feel and easy off the tee or deck. Stock shaft is actually very good if you decide to go that route. Not like the junk stock shafts that are offered with some US woods.

I agree.
Top notch FW. I have the stock shaft and could not be happier with it.
Cant really find a fault with it

I highly recommend the S yard xv woods, easy to hit & one of the best fw woods I have ever own. The S yard t.388 driver definitely compliments their fw woods.

Love my xv. Definitely recommend having one and you may gave better luck finding one over at TSG bst forums.

I know they are hard to find, I have been talking to Tatsuro over at Tourspecgolf about them. That is where I got my Ryoma D-1 Maxima which is the best driver I've here hit. From the sound of everyone's opinion this is one amazing 3 wood even with the stock shaft.

I'm intrigued by the 3 wood. .388 has been in the bag for 6 months and I can hammer that thing and draw it.

XV-3wd is a mini t.388. Literally. If you and the 388 get along, you'll love having the 3wd version of it in your bag.

Between the 64 degree version of the K and now that youve endorsed the XV as a mini 388 3w.....my winter acquisitions are getting expensive considering I've not hit a shot in 2 1/2 months.

(and I just remembered my Giken 53 WMF/WMT/whateveritis hasn't arrived yet).

+1, I love the T.388 & the xv 3 fw, best woods I have ever own hands down.

i like them a lot they are the real deal but the heads
are too light for my taste even building them up
they felt hollow. I'm used to the solid feeling heads
of the older yamahas pre 2008.

I didn't get along with the stock shaft so I had a blueboard 83 put in it. Plays totally different and I love it; one of the best woods imo you can't go wrong. Lots of love for these fairways everywhere I look.

Some said Royoma and some said PRGR Egg, but for the price, the result ( xv even got a better stock shaft），I think xv wins out easily.
BTW, did anyone hear about the Max soul C2 fw? 6-4 ti body with DAT 55 ti face. Yes DAT 55 ti ! The kid brother of DAT 55G ti, the one on 435II. Have not heard any review about it but now this thing is really getting between me and xv. Any one can help?

superb 3 wood.
quadra fire express shafted and i beleive ti might be the longest 3w for a 15* ive used.
certianly from a tee theres nothing "noticeably better"

from the ground the slight sleekness of the face makes it very confidence inspiring to hit consistantly.

found these woods to be slightly higher flighted than im used to but thats certianly not a bad hting hitting into par 5s!

highly recomended

the new diamana B shaft in this is magnificent as well
