SiD in NJ

New here..

Howzit I'm SiD, I live in the Southern NJ (not a fan of it BTW). I've been playing golf for along time, I used to live off of a course and me and my buddies at the age of 9 used to play like 20 holes every morning with just a 1903 sw and a taped up 3w we found. We'd play till the ranger kicked us off everymorning! LOL, then we'd drag the lake for balls and sell them and soda to golfers..

Anyways, I'm 37, and don't play as much as I want, but except for last year I play mostly in the 80's and hit the 90's and maybe 1 rd in the C-notes. My issue being that when I do play it could easily be 2+ weeks between rds.. I LOVE GOLF! Unfortunately it's real expensive here and the courses usually aren't all that great and you're paying 60+ to play them.

Last year I finally bought new irons, I purchased the r7xd and got rid of my hand me down Cobra OS's, also updated the putter from an Old Odyssey to the new xg1 (LOVE IT). I can be very long off the tee but somehow last year my swing got all messed up and by mid summer I was scrambling to play with any consistancy. Anyways, I'm working on my swing more now than I have in the past, I have a great swing although everything about my stance is not the norm. My issue last year was adjusting to the new irons and listening to too many people! Boom went the game. Anyways, this year I'm working on slowing the swing down to get more consistancy! I'm reallyl looking to get a lot better and I'm very willing to loose some distance to finally get to the almighty 70's! (my lowest round ever was an 80, and last year my low round was an 84).

I'd say my best shots are around the green with "Excaliber" my loft wedge, I don't mind coming up short because I know I can usually stick it with in 3ft of the hole with my loft wedge.

I'm working on my personal training cert, while being a software developer at the same time, I'm a gym rat! I love lifting weight and pushing my body beyond the norm! My swing on my drives are more compact and shorter than most, but when I hit the ball I can knock it pretty well. I love MMA or the UFC for some. I love to train Jiu Jitsu and MMA when I can!


Anyways, I've been cruising around here and I liek the board alot.
