Yonex Ti-hybrid muscle... Anyone hit them?

I hit them at this year's PGA Show. I thought they felt spectacular and the ball flight was great. So much so that even though I recently bought some Ping S55's, I think I may try the Yonex Ti-Hybrids again.

The ones I hit had the Nippon Modus shaft.

I'm not really understanding how the titanium inserted into the muscle works better. But when I hit them I was super-impressed with them.

Always great stuff, price point probably hurts them but one of the most underrated companies in NA.

Well I thought you are talking about real hybrids. They are blades..... I have no idea why Yonex call them hybrids. They look nothing like Adams A12 hybrid irons.

The Yonex irons have taken out some of the steel inside the muscle of the head and inserted titanium in there. That's why it is called the ti-hybrid...it's a hybrid of steel and titanium in the head.


As far as JDM equipment goes, I don't think the price point is all that bad. These come with Nippon Modus stock shafts. With Dynamic Gold I believe the price point is more like $1,200. My issues are:

1) Finding a place that sells them.

2) Find a place that has the 4-iron with the set instead of just 5-PW.

No.

I am currently working on my swing and I bought a set of Ping S55's this past June.

But, the PGA Merchandise show comes to Orlando at the end of January. My swing is coming all nicely and Yonex is usually at the demo day of the show. If I still like them, I will probably get a set.
