Miura Black Boron Finish CB501 on Blacked Out KBS Shafts. Drool Worthy Picture

It would of been a crime not to share this beautiful photo taken by our club builder Miguel.

 

As you can see it is the Miura Black Boron CB501 on custom black colored KBS Shafts with Black IOMIC 2.3 grips.

 

Right after building this beautiful set our club builder had to take a photo.

 

Now I am wondering how I can get my Miura 1957 small blades to look like these bad boys!

One of the things I do for my customers, is school, and alma mater, colored ferrules and grips.
I think I have photos of a set I built for a guy that had 3 alma maters. The colored ferrules and grips, for. 3 different schools, throughout the irons and wedges.
Quite funny looking, but he was really happy.
I love my baby blades with the ACCRA i series shaft.

haha that is a lot of schools! I bet he has a phd or a doctorate. Would love to see the photos.

I love my baby blades also. The best irons I hit so far and the funny thing is, I hit the BB 4iron better than any other irons I hit before.

Does anyone have pictures with seasons of play with the boron finish? I've seen some Miura black blades where the finish wore quick, but I've also heard the boron finish wears well. Not sure if it was the same finish,but would love a black finish that was durable.

I have photos but I honestly dont know where I put them. I'll post them on here once I find it. They do wear very nicely.

I've seen my friend's set of 501s with the black boron finish and i was very disappointed....after a few rounds the black finish had worn from the sole and the face......its a beautiful finish but its durability is not the greatest......

Interesting to hear Robbie. I thought the finish was touted as very durable. Too bad if it was truly the boron finish. Looks alone the finish pre-wear is amazing.

I've actually considered this setup, but I'll just settle for the black nickel in the wedges.

I keep regretting not getting my 1957 small blades in black boron! I also should of added a 2 and 3 iron for those windy san diego days.
