Help me decide FOURTEEN RM12 or YURURI TOURS

Guys i'm in the market for some new wedges, been a long time vokey guy. I'm looking for a softer feeling wedge with a bit of spin, shape similar to vokeys. I'm stuck between the two models i mentioned above. Is one better than the other or is it just personal preference. I was originally going to go for the Fourteens but then i saw the YURURI Tour and heard good things. Please help.

Had both...IMHO, nothing is better than Yururis.

Wow I've been contemplating the same two wedges w/ the edition of the Yururi Chili wedges too! Please keep the thread updated w/ your decision and review of your wedges. There's a super good deal on Yururi heads on Tourspec as well as reasonable prices for shafted Yururi's on FairwayGolfUSA. Decisions, decisions. . . .

I just ordered two RM-12s, a 52 and 60 both with DG s400. I have the Yururi gekko raws now so well see how they compare.

I would love to know what you think, I'm leaning towards the rm12's in a 54 & 60 and will shaft them with nippons thats if i go down that road.

Saw the yururi wedges on TSG and a pretty reasonable price, actually cheaper then the fourteens.. Let us know how you get on.

We sell TONS of Yuyuri wedges at our shop and website. They are a great wedge at a great price point for custom built wedges.

I personally like and play the Fourteen RM12s because they feel very soft and have great spin (9970rpm)

Yuyuris make awesome wedges with great feel but to me the Fourteens were slightly softer. IMO

You cant go wrong with either.

Can't comment on Fourteens as I haven't hit them, although they do look really nice. I too was a long time Vokey player and always thought they were great...but then I bought my Yururi Tours! First practice with them made the Vokey's feel like a vastly inferior product. I have so much confidence with the Yururi's - turf interaction is amazing, spin is crazy even with the conforming grooves, feel is beautiful. My short game has definitley benefitted from having these in the bag...highly recommend!

Do you guys have the Yururi Tours in conforming grooves? Your website shows a pic of the white paintfill on the Tours which I believe represents non-conforming grooves, with gold being conforming.

I love the finish of the Raw Gekku's, I just wish they were conforming.

Can a person order the RM12 through Fairway Golf with upgraded shaft?

Yes, they have a list shafts you can choose from. That's where I ordered mine with dgs400.

Just received my 52 and 60 RM12, and early too as it was supposed to be the 20th before they came. Thanks FairwayGolfUSA. Just off hand a much more rounded edge compared to my knife blade gekko wedges. Should be a little more forgiving. I also think the RM12s feel softer than the Yururi. Both are now shafted with s400 and at 35" so it will be a direct head comparison. Can't wait to play them.

Well Guys, at the end my decision was Fourteens. I ended up getting a set of Fourteen RM Raw tour van hand ground's in a 50/54&60.

Looking forward to taking htem out on the course..

Looking at picking up a 58-12 RM-12 but might have to re-shaft. Do these take a taper or parallel
shaft?

Update on the RM12s. Very soft wedges and they have a great feel to them. They also spin a lot, more than I expected really. I kept ending up short because these thing bounce and spin a foot or less and it's dead. Very impressive. I think these spin as much as the Gekko but feel much better.

I like Fourteen wedges a lot. They do look very classy. I don't have RM-12, but 11, MT28 V3 and V5 and even J-Spec III. In different setups (54/58, 56/60) and high-low bounce. Will not change in the near future. Excellent feel and not too sharp leading edge.
