Staff bag

Recommended Posts

i dont think how someone scores has anything to do with what kind of the bag they play with.

if someone walks they usually get stand bags because carrying a staff bag would be a drag

if someone rides than a staff bag is great because all of the room that a stand bag doesnt have

mostly i think that its about personality, is someones a shy person and they get a huge flashy bag than its just not a great fit for the person. but if someones comfortable with how they play and have a bolder personality than more power to them

strictly what i think

I think that your bag choice is a personal thing and doesn't matter whether you use a staff bag or a sunday bag. But I personally feel that staff bags should be used by tour players, PGA professionals, and old guys who don't know any better. Just my two cents, but if you want to drop $300 on a staff bag, find the biggest and best you can.

I like your opinion.

If I bought a staff bag, it would hold clubs in my room as a home furnishing.

If people want a big bag, Sun Mountain has a C-130. That thing is BIG and actually more functional than a staff bag.

Besides, staff bags scream steal my clubs and bag. Please! and Hurry!

Get whatever bag that you like. If it helps YOU enjoy the game more, who cares what others think.

I have several bags for different situations. I have a few lightweight carry bags, a cart bag and a few staff bags. I use them depending on what I'll be doing.

This bag was perfect for using while I caddied for a friend at the Sony Open Pro Am. :russian_roulette:

I've got a staff bag for my "nice set" that usually comes out when I'm riding. It's so big it barely fits on the back of the cart. To add insult to injury, I have iron covers on there as well. My set is going on 3 years and is in near mint shape as a result.

I also have a carry bag with my beaters. I bring these if I'm going to walk and keep them in the trunk at all times in case I can get a round in at the last minute.

Honestly, if you are worried about what other people think, don't buy a staff bag. You need to buy a spine first.

  • 5 weeks later...

I am with Mr. Doug and others who have mentioned 9.5 inch staff bags, actually I like what Titleist calls my bag...staff "styled." It is 9.5 inches and has a lot fo the beneifits of a staff bag..easy to get clubs in and out with no tangling, cool look, but it is no where NEAR as big and unwieldy as an actual staff bag. I dig the Taylormade one shown a few posts above, same concept.

I have a Ping Hoofer and when I put it on the cart, it can be a hassle to find the club I want due to the lack of space and headcovers etc.

For the last time, start walking! walkers are better golfers, better lovers, better looking.............

Guys I am 19, 5'8, and 145lbs. I work out five days a week and run three. Believe me, I enjoy walking but sometimes the course is just too crowded to walk because it seriously slows down play. And we all know how people on here feel about slow play...
