I contemplated breaking out the Spalding Oversize GI sticks when I got home last nigh, I still might until I sort my swing out. The course was brutal hard though, if you missed th Fairway you went OB and the holes were narrow as **** lol.

One guy in my group shot an 84 and he is near a scratch golfer lol, the other guy shot a 101.

If you can get a head-on look, and describe the ball flight when you're hitting it well, versus hitting it poorly now, I think some of our boys in the instruction forum could help you sort it out...

I wish they had a FO view, this is the only one it gives as most players are right handed so it would be FO for a righty. I'm going again this weekend so I'll take some proper FO and DTL videos myself

Funny part is 6/10 guys there last night were lefties, I was in a group with 2 other lefties and the middle bay had 2/3 lefties as well.

Interesting. I keep hearing on here about all the lefties back east. Maybe it's some inherited trait gene pool thing?

I've known a few good golfers who play golf righty and left all else (and the former PGA pro Jim Nelford from here did that, but still putted lefty I think). One lefty but-plays golf-righty friend who went to university on a golf scholarship said that gave him the benefit of using the stronger left arm to pull it through. He saw the former great lefty tennis pro Rod Laver here at the golf course he worked at many years ago. Laver also played golf righty and my friend said he used that massive left forearm and drove farther than anyone he had ever seen on the course. However he also said Laver couldn't do much after that.

Well I officially own a 44" Driver now, I actually really like the weight and how it feels in my hands at this length. Me and the Piglet are going sim golfing tomorrow night so I'll get to test it out then. I also cut down the stock PXv to the same length

Fairways are next, at least 1" going to be getting trimmed off of those as well.

Also, I never really hold any club all the way to the end of the grip so it will be more like I'm using a 43.5" driver really.

Looks like the Piglet may be getting a new set of irons tomorrow, he's only got $40 but ill give him the rest if the guy still has them. That's a really good deal and depending on what shafts are in them could be a great set for him.

$110 for those irons is a great deal, I haven't gotten a reply back from the guy yet though.

That's a really good deal, and a set he can certainly grow with! Heck he might have a -4 round in him with those.

That's what I was thinking, I can just keep changing the shafts until he stops growing

I hope the guy still has them. If not there's a set of Wilson DI7 irons in Reg flex graphite at golf central for $190. I can just soft step them a time or two for now until he gets stronger and then un-softstep them as he grows

Soon enough, he'll be hitting the gym for other sports, and the next thing you know, it'll be hard-stepped, 1/2-inch tipped X100s, and "Dad, I need to you bend my irons 2 degrees stronger, they keep ballooning on me."

^^ he's actually trying to get some kids together for a golf team at his school for the spring. They need 4 kids I think for a team, but I guess one of the teachers at his school is a golf junky as well so I volunteered to help out of they can get enough kids. I think it would be awesome fun to help coach their golf team. So it is possible

A guy I played sim golf with last winter who is also a member here posted a great thread about his journey to scratch and this is where he went. Well color me confused, me and the Piglet went over and played 9 holes tonight and I shot an even par 36. Its got to be my comfort level playing with him as opposed to playing with the other guys I don't know that well.

I played only with the pro launch shaft in my driver and definitely like the shorter length. It did bring head speed down a couple MPH but it made up for it in dispersion. I hit a few on the range after words to get some numbers with the new shorter shaft. Dispersion was better, launch angle is a little higher, spin numbers are up in a better place as well. I think I'll need to add a little weight to the head but not much, I forgot it at home tonight lol. Overall I think I'm really going to like this shaft in my driver once I get it dialed in and get used to it. One things for sure, I definitely can't over power this shaft like I could with the stock one.

Oh and I almost forgot the best part about tonight's round. TP played from the white tees with me instead of the reds and on regular mode not on beginner which gives bonus yards on mishits. So that was a legit birdie and score that he had
