It's happened in every single game so far, even tonight var has missed a punch.....bad bad decision thou, but it happened in the arsenal utd game. Lines drawn in wrong place and goal wrongly disallowed....makes you wonder who's actually running var and if it's corrupt as we all think it is. Personally,  I think they're desperate for a London club to win it

I absolutely hate VAR.  The times when it delivers a factually correct result -- different than the call on the field -- isn't worth the delay in the flow of the game IMO.

I also believe the human element of refereeing is part of the game and should remain that way.

Feel the same way about instant replay in football on this side of the Atlantic.  Terrible.

Adaptive Golf.....look out for the one-armed man:

I actually like VAR.  Calls being wrong and not fixed drives me nuts.  Which made this past weekend all the worse.

Admittedly I am not fully 100% sure of this but my understanding of VAR's role in instances other than say offsides, is to just review and if during that review the VAR feels it is warranted, alert the on-field referee to go to the monitor and take another slower look at the play.  I assume at this time they are able to "chat" with the VAR ref and discuss what they saw that prompted them to stop play and have the on-field take another look.  There then exists the possibility that they could make the decision (combined or perhaps the on-field ref on his on?) to keep with the call on the pitch.

That said, I don't like any added delays to the flow of the game.  Having coached a little at rec league levels, it is incredibly difficult to make tactical changes within the flow of the game.  Additional stoppages disadvantage the sides that are capable of taking direction from the head coach and making the needed tactical adjustments, on the fly.  You add in a bunch of opportunity with stoppages to have players come over and "get coached" it takes, what I feel is supposed to be an inherent part of the game, out of it.

Worse one without doubt was last night against Scotland. That is without doubt the worse var or decision by a ref in football for best on 60 years. It was awful and quite clearly corrupt....ufea made sure Spain won that game, as the were knackered. Var is open to corruption and bias and last night proved....not even Scottish but its made me so angry
