The Speed is just as awesome as my pro. I hit the wife's a few times. No numbers but high ball flight.

Speed gave me 500 less rpm than my G30, and added 12-13 yds. The 3w and 5w are the best fairway woods I've ever hit

I had three other shafts that I knew would fit me better waiting to go in the head, so I only took five swings or so to let me know that I wasn't a fan of the feel and it spun a little bit too much for me. was getting 27-2800 rpms vs. 21-2200 with my Rogue Black or Speeder Pro.

I would switch back-and-forth between the two heads in the first generation all the time. I just love the Pro last year. However this year I really have a feeling I'm going to end up with the pro and the flex ha ha I don't want to be tempted by a third head.

However the entry-level coverts have been really good and I'm suspecting that the vapor speed is just as good and forgiving.

That is interesting the G 30 was a really low spin head for me I just couldn't get over the sound or the looks. If it was head and shoulders above everything else I might've ended up with it. But with it being so close to the 915 and coverts and tour edge I had to pass it up.

Did you go flex or speed in the 3w? Can you compare it to your gamer or others? What shaft?

Pro in the 3 w with diamana blue stiff. It is higher launching than my gamer and I actually take a shallow divot with it. First impression is that it's incredibly forgiving and hot. It inspires amazing confidence at address

I compared the vapor speed 3w with the performance 2.0 3w at Golf Galaxy and the first thing I noticed was how much longer the Speed was. It looked like it was almost an inch longer, so 0.75" longer actually makes sense.

I got the Vapor Speed 3w and 5w today with KK TiNi shafts and will compare them with my 2.0's when I get home to see how they measure out. I wanted to just order them at the 2.0's length (43" and 42") but don't understand Nike's way of measuring clubs and didn't want to accidentally have them come in too short, so I'm just doing it myself.

Yeah, I don't think the Flex 3wd is measured differently, I think it is .75" longer. I think I am going to order it and cut off the extra length.

Its cool, I have read in a few places that the Flex 3wd is in fact .75" longer than the CT 2.0 3wd. That's quite a jump, I will probably order it and cut a little off, too long for me.

Just thought I would share my first range session with the pro driver. I am more of an "average" golfer. Everyone on here seems to swing 120 and hit it over 300 yards (I am more reasonable). Anyway, used to have the 913 d2 with oban kiyoshi purple shaft. Now have the pro with elements chrome shaft. Don't have access to launch monitor so I can only compare one to the other on the range. There is a net at the end of the range that I have never been able to get the ball to with the 913. Maybe rolls up to it with a bomb. This was confirmed yet again today. However, the pro hit the net about 10 feet up and is a bullet. My guess is that it is spinning far less. Just as accurate and forgiving as the 913. This was with terrible range balls also. Love this thing. The net starts at 240 yards out (told you I am just average).

I had a great round with Vapor pro today. It's definitely longer than CT 2.0. I gained about 10 yds on the same course that I played last week (0yd rolls due to mud), and I shot my best score today(+2). With a good swing I could feel the compression channel working and lower ball flight possibly due to wb shaft. I used to hate this color but I have to say, I love this driver and Vapor pro irons.

Prior to the original Coverts, I always played a smaller, pear shaped driver, primarily Titleist. However, with the Coverts, I never could get along with the CT1.0, so I went with the Performance head with the silver KK instead. Fast forward to now and I'm in the same boat as you. I've gotten used to the head shape of the CP1.0 and enjoy the added forgiveness. It has been a fairway finding machine. I went with the Speed, threw in a Kai'li 70s, tipped 1", and hot melted to D4. Haven't been able to get it completely dialed in yet though. Damn winter..

So I say if you like the Speed head, go for it! I would recommend replacing the Fubuki Z though..

I actually do really like the shape of the Pro as well..
