Does anyone have any experience or opinions about this club and course north of Denver?

Heard it's good and good men's group but never personally played it.

I've played it twice in a scramble format. Conditions were very good. Staff was friendly. Dick Phelps design which are all very similar to me(exception being Bear Dance).

I cant speak to atmosphere of the membership. I do like that they have indoor tennis for the winter.

Not a good value - outside play Mondy and Tuesday, no pm play, men's night Wednesday - 3 hrs for nine holes, ladies night Thursday, can not get on- multiply tee times on weekends, with one half not being used so hard to play early - head pro brags he never plays the course, so after 5 yrs of this found a better value in the north - try Colorado National if you want to gold - better value, better course better membership

Really. No afternoon play on Friday? That doesn't make sense to me. I always see groups on the course in the afternoon when I drive by. I have heard they have some weird guest rules. Something like only 2 guests a month.

Colorado national also lets you play fox hill as a member. Although I like colorado national. Being a public course it can play very very slow in the afternoons and weekends. I once turned around after 3 holes and 90 minutes.

Omni may be a good semi private option. 27 holes and the rack rate is high enough that it doesn't get a lot of traffic.

Another option would be legacy ridge and heritage west or. For $2000/yr you get two courses. Both of which I really like. But it's public and doesn't offer much more. I've pool, fitness, tennis.

I'm a member at Colorado National. Great value. I couldn't beat it for the price for the wife and I. I will say pace of play after 12pm on the weekends can get bad 5+ hours. I couldn't afford The Ranch when I was looking for memberships. CNGC was really cheap compared but it's public and that comes with its downsides.

Ranch very family friendly but the golf not so great. Course is really short and you can almost leave your driver at home. I think there are better options out there.

My good friends parents joined the Ranch two months ago and Ive had the opportunity to play it twice. It is a shorter course 6600 from the tips. But I think it has a good mix of long holes to keep it interesting. The 2nd is a 600 yard par 5 with water in front of the green.

The membership is really laid back and has a good mix of younger and older. Indoor tennis for the winter too.

They have a master redesign of the club house schedule to take place this fall. It's really going to highlight the outstanding views they have of the front range. Also, a handful of the greens, tee boxes, and fairway routing are being redone.

Overall, I think it a good value and the club is laid back family friendly. I considered joining as their young professional membership is very reasonable. I also live very close. But, I held off as I don't know if I wanted to play the course 40 times a summer. But with a low initiation fee it may be worth the try for those interested.

Someone mentioned no play on Fridays. Not true. I played it on a friday. But their guest policy is kinda quirky. If your guest lives within 25 miles they can only play once a month. Guest fees are reasonable. $60 I believe.
