Bought the Miura (Mipura) MB-001

I ended up going with Club Champion of Willow Brook Illinois.

I first went on the internet and did the questionnaires where you get the prices for your build (from authorized dealers).

That gave me an idea of what everyone charged.

I then called and price shopped authorized dealers in the area.

Club champion won the bid.

Fitted and ordered Jan 8th.

Picked up the set Jan 17th.

Worked with Torey who did a great job for me.

Did the iron fitting at a 66% percent discount cause I bought through them.

 

I posted pics in the recent purchase thread but wanted to give a shout out to Torey of Club Champion in this thread.

The experience was better than I hoped for and the clubs are my dream set.

So what does 66% off exactly mean? What was your final cost including the fitting? My local Miura dealers quoted me $ 275 per club so I passed on Miura US and ordered Japanese market heads and shafts.

66% of the fitting. $150 is normal charge, so approx $50 for the fitting.

My net cost all in with 7.25% taxes for the following was $262 per club.

Head Covers
Assembly
Future Lie and loft corrections are free.

I had never hit the clubs and wanted to hit them and work with someone face to face on this purchase.
This was a big investment for me. If it was not right or I had issues, I wanted to be able to jump in the car and see them.

What shafts were with your quote? The N.S. Pro Modus3 120 S was an up charge with them.

You got a fair deal from what I have seen. I went with the same Nippon Modus 3 120S shafts. Your clubs look fantastic brother.

I know what you mean. I went from Ping i3 + to i25 to S55.

 

I do not have the i25 anymore.

 

When hitting shots through each set, the s55s feel like shovels compared to the Hogan, Mizuno, and the Miura.

Gotta say these are the best blades out.. So forgiving for a blade and really accurate for me. I tried the cb57's and didn't notice any increase in forgiveness. Mb001 for me all day vs the cb57's.

What Swing weight did these end up at? Mine are being built this week and I'm curious what yours are. I have the same shafts +1/2" and the Miura Giken CB-2007

I bet they feel head heavy compared to the Ping S55? I looked at your spec sheet and I'm having mine built 1/4" longer than yours .

I guess mine will end up between D4 & D6.

Your gonna love the CB-2007. You must be stoked.

I am stoked... They will be ready by the weekend but we got snow today so they won't get any play until i go to Tampa in February.

The CB-2007 are not as sexy as the MB-001 or some of the other American models like the CB-57 but they should still be spectacular

Great set. I love how the modus 120 feels. I just installed them in a set of miura 501s and debating on installing them in my Yoro mp 4s.
