I just received mine.

I have a lesson with a GC2 tomorrow afternoon. I had talk to my coach of testing the units at the same time. I'll try to do that tomorrow.

I have a skytrak unit and there are a couple of bugs they are working out especially with mid iron distances

that will be solved when 1.9 comes out

other than that the unit is extremely accurate and I would say it compares favorably to the gc2, I would still say the gc2 will perform better but the skytrak is a great value

So I made it possible to hit the Skytrak and GC2 at the same time. It really restricted my mouvement but you can see the setup and measurement in the picture below. I was using a brand new 2013 model year Titleist Pro V1x at the beginning of the morning. It got worn down pretty good from the net. I used that ball for the test also.

I find that ball speed, Launch angle, Backspin are really well captured in comparing both product. The side angle and side spin might come from a not perfect alignment since the Skytrak is a pain to align straight at target.
I was able to capture 6 shots that recorded on both machine out of 10 swings. I practice for about 3.5h this morning and Skytrak never failed to register any shots.

Carry distance varied by 1 yard on most shots. The offline average had a 1 yard difference also even though some numbers are not even close to be the same.

Don't judget that quality of the numbers since these were taken after a 1h lesson which brought my total to 4.5h of swinging.
My body is done for the night...lol

I've heard issues with hitting off turf or tee elevation impacting results. Any merit to those issues (or non-issues)

Side spin values look pretty fat off. Other than that looks very similar to gc2

I have not had an issue with hitting off turf. I hit only off mat since I have about 36-40 inches of snow outside and it's minus 30-40 Celsius. If by tee Elevation you mean tee height, I have had no issue playing with various tee heights with my driver.

Maybe someone with outside grass experience could answer.

I find that shot curvature is pretty pronounced on the skytrak. When I put the numbers in flightscope trajectory optimizer the trajectory is pretty different.

Shoot a pm to "Btewks", he recently has gotten a skytrack for business (and personal) use and he absolutely loves it. He's a really good guy to talk with about this, he really understands the physics going on and can probably give you some really good advice.
