Love how clean these turned out by taking a silver paint pen and going over the black that surrounds the PVD.

 

I couldn't find any way to get all of the black out - even w/ an X-Acto Knife and a lot of paint stripper, it wouldn't come out.

 

Luckily the paint pen went right over it flawlessly.

An oldie but goodie. I've had this shirt some 8 to 10 years, I'd guess. I love it. Wear it sparingly to keep it in good shape. Seems like Nike may have revisited this collar style for its shirts earlier this year.

Those of you that have the Vapor Fly 3 wood... do you have the Tensei or Diamana shaft? It looks like the Tensei may be lower spin? Not sure what would be best for my game. I've got the Diamana stiff on my driver.

 

Globalgolf has a 3+ in very good condition for

$62.24. Has anyone bought from them?

 

I liked the Diamana shaft a lot better in my VF 3wood. I have the same shaft in my Vapor Flex 5 wood and VFP Driver and love everything about it haha

I used sand paper and worked pretty good. Now all I need to do is color in the swoosh black. I'm assuming black paint pen is way to go.

did you hand-sand? recall what grit you started w and what you finished w?

 

 

Maybe I'm misunderstanding bomber's post. Did you sand off the "face" of the black and then only paint pen into the channels? Or did you paint pen over the top of ALL the black PVD?

Pretty close to same color as the head itself

I began w/ a piece of handheld 220 grit sandpaper, removed most of the black w/ it. Then used 330ish to remove more, and finished up with a good rubbing of 400+ grit to really seal the deal.

 

Then used a paint pen only in the grooves where the black was. I used paint stripper to remove the volt swoosh and repainted it w/ black acrylic paint. If you take a toothpick and add black paint in, then just rotate the clubhead to have it run into the fine areas of the swoosh.

I own them, and I love the lava glow. yes green glow would've looked sick on these, well most colors would look sick on a wolf grey shoe but hey ya win some ya lose some

Honestly it's not that bad, I just love orange obviously. To be fair I don't think the wolf grey was ever intended to have max orange, I think it was the cargo khaki LCV that was supposed to get max orange and they somehow got flipped. Max orange is listed as a palm swatch complement in more of the SS 17 releases. We'll know very soon. I'm by no means a designer or anything like that so I can't imagine how often or quickly changes must be made leading up to product releases but it seems to be somewhat common with Nike. In some of their official product photos you can actually see where they forgot to photoshop large circle brush areas when they were adjusting colors, likely caused by changes as they released items. The Aeroloft cargo khaki jacket is a perfect example of that and I believe the wolf grey LCVs may be also.

i like the hat, but when it first was posted to NDC, it showed the leather badge in the bottom right corner of the crown (bottom right when looking at it not wearing it). I would prefer it that way vs centered horizontally and vertically. Kind of bland the way it is. Dig the wool-like appearance though.

I prefer it central. Wool appearance is nice. Got the grey version coming soon as well.
