Only there is no headcover. Seller did not mention a headcover, nor picture one - but seller also did not say specifically "no headcover".

 

A - Its your fault for not noticing/asking about it, you should STFU since you got the exact club you wanted and heacovers are cheap

B - Seller should have mentioned there was no headcover and should give you a partial refund to cover the cost.

Ask for the headcover. If the seller has it cool...if not, let it go especially since it was not mentioned in the ad. If I dont see the seller specifically state in the ad or have a pic of the headcover, I'm assuming there was never one to begin with.

if it was an adjustable driver, and there wasn't a tool listed/shown, would the buyer have the expectation that to be included? NO. same principle applies to the mythical headcover.

I was neither, I'm sort of crowdsourcing how reasonable I think my response was.

 

I see almost no possible situations under which B is reasonable. Unless it was some kind of very limited release/collectable putter type situation that comes with a matching headcover. But I'm at 99.5% A.

Absolutely. Puppet is like CCMVP in that regard. They are guys that are double digit caps, but I wouldn't bat an eye if they went out and shot a round in the mid 70s. They definitely have that amount of talent.

 

If I can't pick myself, the PuppetGame is probably a great choice for low net and a good bet for low gross. No pressure.

No. Almost hit into guys on 18 at Waverly last week, and I was thinking about hitting into you on 13 today.

 

AND. . .that guy from work was talking about getting hit into on a par 4 and he was fine with it, but that was 8 at Whiskey, where it doesn't take much to FLY ONE there from the white tees. That would tick me off.

 

I know -- and have played with -- some guys who will LOSE THEIR SH1T if anyone even rolls a ball anywhere near of them. Sometimes they're the same guys who stand on the tee and get pi$$Ed that someone is waiting from 260 for a par 5 to clear because it would be the shot of the guy's life if he got it there.

 

Last year in February, I hit into guys on a 310 par 4 in Florida.

 

I told the guys on the next tee, "sorry, never played here before."

 

And the guy was like "what, you didn't see us?"

 

"I saw you. I just didn't think I'd get it there." It was all down hill in front of the green and burnt out and the ball must have landed 50 yards short of the green. I mean, come on.

 

And one of the other guys was like, "just make the putt."

All of a sudden, a ball lands about 20 yards in front of the green and comes ROLLING onto the green. You look back and the group behind you is standing like 260 out, and a guy is standing there with his hand in the air like "my bad".

Personally, I don't get angry about it being threatening. But it is annoying/distracting when you are about to putt and a ball lands close enough for you to hear it.

 

I don't like trying to get one that close to other people either, even though it's not dangerous.

This is what my BIL wrote to me about the play yesterday. He is a walking "scorer" or something. Puts scores into an iPad so they update.

 

My match wasn't very good today- I watched the first 2 hours and they never showed or mentioned it- Nigerian girl plays for South Carolina- kills the drive- 270-280 was out driving Lemek by 40-50 yards- but rest of game not good- she lost 6 and 4- I had her about 13 over after 14 holes- the other girl wasn't great- didn't hit the ball long- but was steady and putted well- I doubt she wins tomorrow

The Nigerian girl had 80 yards into 4- flew the green chipped back off the green down the hill- did the same thing on 12- which she somehow won with a 6- on 14 she bladed a chip shot over green - on 8 she had 110 they played it a little farther back about 375- but still about 25 yards shorter than white tee- she hits the top of hill and rolls down- 9 she got unlucky hit the pin in 3rd shot and wound up 10 yards off green but then completely junked a chip- wasn't great golf in my group

Tomorrow I have Mika Liu- she's good - Curtis Cup player will be a freshman at Stanford so should be a good match

No, and there are a couple of holes at my course where this is where drives land, and end up 20 yards short. I've done it a few times and usually get a congratulatory "Was that your drive?" after the round. I've also had it happen to me many times. You can wait to putt until the people behind you hit if it will calm the nerves.

40 yards short is 3 clubs, The person wasn't going for the group in front.

 

The worst case for hitting into a group is a blind, drivable par 4.

I usually notice the sound but I dont care if someone lands short of the green, especially on a Par 5.

I am Frick of Frick and Frack, and I don't like unexpected noise or motion. Ball short of green, don't care. Ball on green, I won't be happy, but I wouldn't go nuts if it rolled up and was the first time.
