I find myself being inspired by the style of the golfers of the far east. Nowadays I am regularly sporting the white sleeves [i]and[/i] the popped collar on the course. It looks completely obnoxious and probably keeps some people from talking to me but that is purely incidental. It's primarily for the sun protection. Anything I can do to reduce the amount of greasy goopy sunscreen on my skin is okay by me. I am thinking of getting a push cart with a huge umbrella mounted on it, like I often see Korean golfers doing around here. They have the right idea! It's odd how we in the west are absolutely militant about the use of chemical sunscreen whenever you are going to be outdoors for more than ten minutes, yet we won't hesitate to mock people who make efforts to maximize their cover and shade. Aren't cover and shade the best sun protection of all?

I hear you. I've been using the umbrella on my pushcart for shade for years. I hate wearing hats, and under the umbrella I can take off my hat, feeling 10 degrees cooler. On really sunny days I pop my collar. I started wearing a wide brim hat last year on advice from my skin doctor.

I just picked up a set of arm sleeves, and an Under Armor HotGear base layer. I'll try both over the next few weeks. I go through 5 to 7 bottles of sun screen a year.

I believe that would be illegal, immoral, unjustified, and just plain wrong. Here's a picture of Ai instead. I look at lot like her, except I'm taller, wider, and have a lot less hair. I do have one thing in common with her. I have been known to wear white golf shoes in the summer.
