For those that legitimately have two separate sets of clubs that you use...

I have two sets of irons.  titleist T200 and Titleist VG3's from the last year they were released in Japan.  I am short of a full 2nd bag as I don't have two sets of woods.  

I rotate them I wouldn't say frequently but occasionally  I have the second set mainly for two reasons, 1) I Ioved the VG3's and found a mint set and I find them softer than the T200's.  Both sets and play similarly and 2) to have a set for when a guest comes and doesn't bring their clubs.

 

The two sets also helps if I get a last minute invite to a friends club so I don't have to drive to my club to get my golf clubs

As I said years ago, if you plan to play multiple bags AND play your best with any of them, they HAVE to be matched. Lengths, Weight, Loft, balance...... it ALL has to be the same or very close. I build and match all of my clubs and have no issues moving between sets. But I'm also OCD when it comes to putting my clubs together, so that probably has a little to do with it.

 

For the record, I have the following sets of irons that I play from time to time.

Mizuno MP-14, Fujikura Pro 115 S, Midsize Gripmaster Roos

All sets MOI to 2860 kg/cmsq +/- 10

Mizuno ST-Z 220 10.5°, HZRDUS iM10 Low 65 TX (no tipping) 46", Midize Gripmaster Wrap, MOI 3012

I play a lot of cold-weather golf on mountainous terrain. So - wind, snow, freezing/thawing, frost at the start of rounds, etc. The bag from the irons down never changes. But, in the cold weather, I switch out fairways for longer hybrids to have an easier time staying down out of the wind and not have as much drag going through the muck.
