Watching the Long Drive Competition on the Golf Channel. He congratulated Jamie even before he hit his "Last Chance" ball on hitting it over 400 yards.

Crittenden seems like a class guy. I'm sure he knew he was going to have to get reaaaaly lucky against Sadlowski, kind of how lucky the next guy was.

I like the new format. A lot more interesting to watch. Kind of bummed Sadlowski blew it, but it ain't easy I'm sure. I wouldn't call it a choke. It isn't like he shanked them or anything. He just kept missing right.

It's no longer winner take all. They paid out to the top 32 this year I believe. Makes more sense.

Here is what I heard about Jamie from someone who won a title in another division this year. It appeared his driver face flattened causing the balls to squirt off the face. Don't know how true that is, but it was coming from a guy who has won multiple world championships.

Congress to Burke and Krank. Also, congrats to Paderson KINETIXX for putting 4 guys in the top 8 in its first year. The Paderson technology is truly a game changer.

Why do the long drive guys always play Callaways? No TaylorMade or Pings?

To my knowledge Callaway is the only major OEM making low lofted heads specifically for long drive. A 9* G30 or R15 would be a joke at their speeds. Joe Miller's Callaway head is less than 4*.

They don't only play callaway...

Yeah, I meant major OEMs. Didn't know that Remax pulled out and only the Golf Channel saved it. Gotta do something to freshen it up next year.

I like the last chance ball.... but no one could take advantage of it. I don't know what else can be done to liven it up.... last chance spin?? spin the wheel and have you get whatever it lands on... +20 yards.... -10 yards.... 2 extra drives.... opponent +5 yards....

Two guys hitting at once? Bonus if you go +400 yards? Closer to the middle you get more yards? Hit off a mountain or a monument or some place famous? Maybe it just is what it is.

Way better this year than the year they were at the racetrack. And I know weather will be a factor anywhere but 50 something degrees and 10 mpg head wind was hard to over come.

I didn't like the racetrack. So high up guys couldn't find the grid.

I think match play needs to be double elimination, can't have Miller & Winther going out when they were 30+ yards longer that guys that advanced. Only speculation about Sadlowski's club face being flat, only he knows & everyone brings more than 1 driver to the grid, he could have changed drivers & he should have had more tees in his pocket!

I thoroughly enjoyed the useless interviews. I only wish one of the guys would've responded to the "What were you thinking out there?" question with something along the lines of quantum physics or ancient philosophy.

They will probably improve the format as time goes by. Seems like the deal for Golf Channel to take over was so "last minute" that they barely even had the event this year. Hopefully they will return to local qualifying for the open and senior divisions next year. I liked the way we did it back in the 90's and early 2000's when it comes to qualifying. The "buy in" process doesn't work for most.

It was amzing to watch and be there everyone. The match was best outta three was really really fun. Only thing they need to do is have a full year of tourneys with ranking points for worlds at year end. But every hitter LOVED match play...the last chance ball is unique but no one hit it well enough to better their yardage. Golf Channel is HUGE to have on board and run it now. LOVE IT
