i have been very lucky over last 6 months,

found two pro launch platinums, and one 757 Speeder !! Also a spare Oban TP V430 04, but thats too new 4 this topic.

Just bought a 905T with stock Speeder.

And always a V Steel Fan !!

 

Good call on the PL Platinums. Picked up a couple of .350's to install in.....my V steel 3w & 5w. Solid combo for me.

 

Dynamics were 8 9$ if i remember.

 

Dynamic golds never were under 10$?

I got into clubmaking in 2002, and DG's were $10 at Golfsmith. I thought that was really high, because Lite XL and similar shafts were only in the $5 range. Boy, times have changed. Now Lite XLs are the "cheap" $10 shafts. Sucks, doesn't it?

My vote for components I'd like to see....

 

Snake Eyes 600B iron heads

90g and 100g (and up) graphite wood shafts

 

Heavy graphite is getting harder to find, without spending a premium. Even the long lived SK Fiber Tour Trac 100 has been discontinued.

 

Such is life...

 

I realize the OP's premise for this thread was about shafts and grips. But the term "components" means club heads to me. Especially the SE line. Built many a club for myself and others using SE heads. At one point having an entire SE bag of clubs.

 

NRJ's mention of 600B's in particular. Had a set of the 600C's shafted FCM Flighted Rifle 5.0. Solid clubs that should never have been sold off for peanuts. The entire 6xx line from the mid-2000's forward were a quality offering IMO. Still play a SE QS 4 hybrid, SE 650T 7w, SE 685 SW and a marvelous SE Tour Platinum 7802 putter. A "Dalehead" style with a flow neck that's mated up with a TT T2C "heavy" (no longer available) putter shaft.

 

Miss the old SE days.

Matrix F7m2 line, Aldila NV originals (favorite fairway shaft ever), diamond rifles.
