Going to Deerfield Beach next week and looking to play a round. Anyone play The Diplomat in Hallandale Beach? Also considering Deer Creek.

Deer Creek is decent. Nice layout, the tees are in mediocre condition, the greens are decent. Fairways in good shape.

 

Better off giving Osprey Point a try and try to get on the Raven and Hawk.

Do you know if Osprey Point has restrictions for singles making a tee time? I go to book online and only have 3:00 as a single but a 4some has times from 11:30 on open.

I think it does if you're looking to book online.

 

A couple of weeks ago I thought I had booked a tee time for my dad and I (I know, we were a twosome, not a single). But for some reason the booking didn't show. However, they got us out there no problem. I think the same works for a single.

 

Deer Creek doesn't allow singles to book online. Best to call ahead and see if you can get a time out there.

Nice call on Osprey Point. I played the Hawk and Falcon courses. The whole course in general was in great shape; cart paths only because of what looked like heavy rain last night. The Hawk course was fun and had some interesting holes (the par 3 8th is a cool hole). While the Falcon was in great shape, many of the holes were poorly designed. Too many of them were silly dog legs where the hole is listed at 330 but it was 240 to the flag off the tee. Many of them you literally had no idea where to hit it or how far.

 

The best part of all was reduced rates on the 3rd Monday of each month. I played 18 with a cart and bucket of balls for $28.

I don't care for the Falcon that much either. Although I think if I played it more often I could learn to like it more because I would know where to go. I prefer the Raven and the Hawk.
