Here is a brief guide to the contents of the 7-part series of YouTube videos:

Part 1 video - Introductory session followed by a discussion/demonstration of the LAFW (left arm flying wedge) and GFLW (geometrically flat left wrist) concepts.

Part 2 video - Backswing action - primarily involving arm movements.

Part 3 video - Backswing action - primarily involving movements of the pelvis and upper torso.

Part 4 video - Start of the downswing - describing the optimal method of rotating the pelvis during the early-mid downswing.

Part 5 video - Describing the power package slotting phase of the early-mid downswing and providing an analysis of the release of power accumulator #4 and power accumulator #2.

Part 6 video - Describing biomechanical events happening in the mid-late downswing, including the release of power accumulator #3.

Part 7 video - Describing alternative downswing techniques other than the LAFW/GFLW technique; describing the handle-dragging technique; and describing hand-release actions through the impact zone.

Its one way to end up with surgery in the lower back.

Pedagogically, to long.

If he was on point they be at least 10 times shorter.

No understanding about the real secret in the golf swing.

Knows the secret to the golf swing to own it.

Why not just credit Kelvin Miyahira?

His website has hundreds of mentions of KM. Jeff Mann references *EVERYTHING*.

That's because he has nothing of his own, no original content from him... just repeating things like a parrot! But yet he knows everything and everyone else is wrong ... ironic since he takes all his stuff from them that are wrong...lol! There's passion then there's unhealthy obsession Mann is the poster boy for the latter.

Lives in a 2d world and is irrelevant.

Everything is a remix.

There are lots of parts of his site that are quite useful.

Since he is unable to post here ... he is unable to defend himself.

TGM came before there were 3D analysis tools.

Yeah TGM did but I'm pretty sure he made those videos when 3d was available.

If you condensed the 6hr videos down to a summary:

1. Keep the flying wedges intact (not essential because a bowed left wrist is okay and gives a bit of extra stability through impact)

2. Rotate in a barrel

3. Swing On Plane (ie. Left Forewarn Flying Wedge moving on different inclined planes, but 2 ends of the club tracing out a 'plane base line' = ball/target line )

4. Sequence your swing properly (he uses a staged release of power accumulators to help stress that point for particular types of swings - hitting , swinging , swing hitting)

5. Reactive Pivot (upper body active first before lower body) vs Active Pivot (Lower Body active first before upper body) - whatever works best for you

6. Geometrical/Anatomical Flat Left Wrist through impact.

7. Left lats and right tricep used together to help release power accumulators (either via a reactive or active pivot). If right too dominant that changes the SWING to more of a HIT.

8. Left shoulder rising and going back away from target as club goes through ball can help increase speed via Parametric acceleration.

9. Learn to utilise diagonal hinge motion (using a supination of the whole left arm) for at least a few inches through impact to prevent any excessive clubface roll.

10. Learn to create a hand path that can efficiently utilise the 'Law of the Flail' to help accelerate the club using G-forces at start of release (uncocking/unhinging of wrists).

Number 10 is a mystery because no-one can categorically confirm (yet) what biomechanical movements are involved to create a more linear (less circular) hand path during the early downswing phase versus the more circular hand path during start of release. The arc of the hand path can have varying radii and constantly changing swing centres so its still too complex to figure out what golfers do with their bodies to get that shape.

All the above is 'What to do' not 'How To Do it' . But in the end , he does mention other task analogies to describe how the swing should feel.

1. Skipping a stone

2. Backhanded Frisbee throw

3. Underarm pitcher throw

4. Backhand tennis stroke

5. Double-backhand tennis stroke

His new analysis about how the pelvic girder muscles and other muscles help the turning of the hips and his idea about delayed no roll 'Drive Hold' is imho, very good advice.

And if you keep posting videos and pushing sites of non-advertisers/people that are justifiably banned from this site - well, I just don't know how to describe that. Sunk, I'm a little disappointed.

The problem with you is that you are biased towards the existing opinions of FWP/Iteach and the 3D AMM findings (which are not detailed enough to disprove Dr Mann's different opinions). You don't even have the guts to debate with Jeff Mann about golf mechanics/biomechanics because you KNOW that you couldn't win the argument (because you can't be bothered to learn alternative opinions). You would rather piggyback on threads like your 'blood brother ' (Asterisk , now called Bronson) adding little 'condescending/sarcastic' remarks pretending to be 'cool' with deeply profound statements like 'get someone with experienced eyes, he'll sort you out' . Basically you and Bronson are 'wrongheaded' , 'ignorant' and offer 'zero merit' to any academic golf conversation.

I can only imagine that the previous thread was deleted because :

a. Some posters including (disappointingly) Monte Scheinblum started debasing the whole thread with sexual innuendos and making a mockery of the whole debate. I suspect you didn't even have a clue what was being debated but still got on your 'high horse' to say a few 'oracle' type words (because your so full of pitiful self arrogance). I can only assume that some of the female forum members were so disgusted with some of the remarks that they rightfully complained to the website administrator.

b. That on the off-chance Dr Mann's opinions were proven to be correct and 3D AMM wrong , there is an obvious business impact on the marketing of an 'incomplete' product. That the golf instruction based on 3D AMM data might be slightly 'flawed' and have a repercussion on both the trustworthiness of the instruction and the algorithms being used in its design.

c. The existing 'pros' exerted some pressure on the website administrator to delete the thread because they couldn't win the argument 100% by providing more evidence to support their own case (which they couldn't).

Why don't you and the 'expert pros' register on Mann's website now and prove him wrong (if you have the 'balls'!!!) ? And why do you have an 'Avatar' of Kris Kristofferson? He's a 'real man' isn't he? One of your heros I suspect, but nothing like you.

Not a biomechanist here and could care less about swing minutia but a simple question ...

Why is Mann sending you over here to debate with "expert pros" when he should be debating with Sasho, Cheetham, Kwon, etc ? And if Mann is a recognized expert in golf biomechanics, why he is not asked to speak at all of the relevant conferences and symposiums discussing such ?

And why would any of these folks register at Mann's site when rumor has it he bans anyone that doesn't agree with him ?
