Rahm is no worse than Speith, Hidecki, Justin Thomas, Stacy Lewis, Tiger, Freddie Couples and many others.

Rory has also thrown an iron into the lake, and smashed his wood at the Open last year. Then there's Sergio and Stenson's many meltdowns too. Top 20 in the world, there's probably more players that have lost their cool than those that haven't.

DJ - ice cool. Day - not that I can think of, Adam Scott, Fowler, Rose - too nice? Mickelson over the years hasn't been too bad. That's about it.

Rahm has been a lot more affable the past 2 days and so he seems to be taking the wrx constructive criticism to heart. There is a ripple effect as well in all this akin to the butterfly effect as some folks who see Rahm smile might then also smile and be nice and folks who never even heard of Rahm will see those people and they will then also smile and be nice and the world will transform itself and will be beautiful and loving beyond our imagination.

I feel like Hideki only complains after his good shots. Rahm should start complaining after every putt he makes.

I could start a thread titled "what kind of dumb stuff did you do at 22yrs old" in the 19th hole and a lot of guys would post stuff in there about crazy dumb stuff they did when they were younger, and people would laugh and joke about how you do stuff like that when you are young.....but a 22yr old on the PGA tour slams his putter of throws a club and we're done with him. Worst person ever. Never cheer for him. Where's my pedestal?

Whoa that's blowing it way out of proportion to what I said in my OP. Took me a while to warm up to Sergio but now he's one of my favorite players ever. Rahm just needs to mellow out like DJ a bit so he can be a better golfer. And I don't have to like his club slamming BS just bc I may have done that at my club when I was young. He's a PGA tour pro, it's just different. It's more him blaming "spike marks" for nearly every missed putt. That's just weak imo. I'm still pulling for the kid tho, he just hasn't fully won me over yet at all

It's like the 3rd, 4th thread about this now. So i'm lumping this in with the other ones for better or worse. But it doesn't even matter that it's Rahm, it could be 7-10 other guys over the years (Spieth comes to mind). Whenever there is a young player who gets frustrated on tour there are threads started about how the guy needs to clean up his act and handle misses better.

Most 22yr olds have problems regulating emotion. Being ridiculously good at hitting a golf ball doesn't change that

It's funny because i had this same discussion at dinner tonight with some guys from a vendor we work with, we were talking about stupid things we did when we were younger. Some of these guys are really smart guys, who run important product lines at 40-45yrs old. But at 22 we're all just a little crazy and emotional. At 22 you aren't even necessarily who you are yet, so to speak

True. I was not the sexual tyrannosaurus that I became between25-35 when I learned to stop chasing women and let them find me. Lol. With a nod to Jesse v.
