Practice day at The Open

Been to Birkdale today. Course stunning. Followed Sned and Horschell around. Some great banter between the group about Trump and the tennis. Didn't see Rory out on course. One of the marshalls told me he was out early and was shocking. Saw him on the practice area. Jimmy Walker looked well, Willet looks very nervous. Great day, far more relaxed that tournament days. Those are better on the television !

On Golf Channel they showed the world's #1 during his practice round, and they also showed a bit of Jason Day. Both looked relaxed and quietly confident.

Hmmm. It never occurred to me but I kinda think I'd rather go to the open than even the masters. Not sure why exactly. Maybe just because of history...

Stewarding on 7th, par 3 and right next to the stewards car park which is very handy! Hopefully it's not as brutal as 2008....still remember a Japanese bloke asking why we play this great championship in the winter??? Nope it's summer I'm afraid.... His face was a picture

It's a lovely morning by the way....just having a brew at side of green awaiting instructions from the boss!
