Feeding the inner golf beast during the snowy months

Ok. Day off. Heated range time. Gave these classics a short workout. Great irons all three. Now I need to complete the Hogan set. Looking for 3, 8, 9 and E. Sweet iron. Will definitely make it into the 2018 rotation.

All great Humble but I’ve always liked the look of those Muirfield’s, I definitely think 2018 is going to have to be the year of Macgregor in the MJ vintage ho’ing!

I was quite pleased with the Muirfields MJ. In fact I may head back to the range tomorrow with the Muirfields only. Something special about those Macs.

It's supposed to be near 70 here in Virginia today. And wouldn't you know it, I have a horrific cold. I think indoor putting is about all I can handle. Well, maybe a chip or two in the backyard, targeting a squirrel or two.

Re-grip Greg Norman blades with leather

Build an R 510 w/ a killer shaft that is cut to 44"

Re-shaft mint Maruman CS-1 w/ like new FM 6.5 shafts.

Fix the #6 iron on my 681's, need to fabricate dowel.

Putt a lot inside with recent BB2 acquisition.

Hoe a new Driver, must be black w/ polished face and can be set up open. the Mizuno MP Type 1 fits the requirements.

Hit the gym 3x a week, get mean & lean for Spring.

 

I'll stay busy but warm weather cannot come soon enough.

Great plan Nard! Sounds like a busy off-season. It’s 13 degrees here in West Michigan (wind chill at a balmy 2) so the sooner the better on the warm weather thing!

21*, snow and winter weather advisory here in West MI. MLK holiday so no work means off to the heated range this morning. Fortunately the wind was out of the east (hitting west) so it was tolerable, barely. Took my MP53s - 5, 7 and 9. Nice but somehow nothing special. Maybe it was the weather or just maybe I’m likin’ me better my Macs, Hogans and GRTGs. Something special, almost addictive, those ole/older classics. Anyways I’ve satisfied my inner golf beast for now. Spring is just around the corner. I’m hoping......

Oh, I also ordered Greg Norman's The Secret (because I can't afford an Impact Snap). Anyone have experience with the Secret?

I go to my local golf shop at least once a week, they allow me to hit the GC quad with my clubs and when I can't make it there, I'll be chipping and putting in the house...it's supposed to be nice this Saturday here in VA so I might go out and play...
