2 days in Orlando, need to pick 4 courses

I will be heading to Orlando first weekend in March. We will be staying in the Lake Buena Vista area for 3 nights, 2 full days. There i€™s only 2 of us and we were hoping to get 4 rounds in. Distance is going to be a concern with trying to get all 4 rounds in. Here is my initial plan:

Friday - Grand Cypress N/S/E in morning, then Grand Cypress New in afternoon.

Saturday - Celebration in morning then Tranquilo in afternoon.

I have already played Waldorf and Orange County National. My friend has played all the Disney courses, so those are off the table.

From what I have read, these are really good courses. Any other courses I should consider? Thanks!

All good, and close to each other so your limited time won’t be spent in traffic jams on I-4. 2 thumbs up.

When I go back to Orlando I will look seriously into buying a package of rounds at southern dunes

All of the courses posted by everyone are great-including your choices. However you are coming at an extremely busy time of year. With only 2 days for golf, logistics is your enemy. I would minimize driving time on I-4, US 192 and US 27. They are very crowded with a lot of nut-jobs who will happily ruin your day. The LBV area is crowded enough as well. Save the fine courses mentioned for another trip when you have more time.

Thanks for the info.... I was worried about the traffic which is why I figured do 36 holes at Grand Cypress on one day. I was also hoping that by traveling March 1st through March 4th, that it would be before all of the spring break crowds. I will definitely look into changing some things around. Thanks!

Heck, I wouldn’t change a thing. You’ve done great to meet your objectives of distance, time and quality. Carry on. :)

We happen to be hitting that area at that same time, but will be boarding a cruise on 3/2 and looking for a course that me and my sone could spend the day at and get 27-36 holes in. I’ll look into these suggestions, and I noticed the rates jumped up on 3/1. I didn’t realize this was such a busy time down there. Out of those listed anyone good in particular for a junior that we could spend a good 6-7 hours at?

I ended up playing grand cypress, Celebration and Tranquilo... The courses were all awesome! Every course was in perfect condition!

I think Grand Cypress New Course was my favorite. I’ve never played a links course, so that might have something to do with it. The course may have been wide open, but the greens make that course tough!

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
