Where can I get new Rifles( not project x) in taper tip?

Any body know who or where to purchase rifle shafts ( not project x as I have had these and they dont fit my seing or transition). Regular or flighted is what Im after. Prefer 5.0 TT .350, or flighted versions. Original Royal Prescisions are getting impossible to find. Thanks!

Don't see anything on that site about Rifles, or Project X, or even Royal Precision for that matter. If I'm missing something, I'm all ears, because I'm interested in older TT Tour Concepts, and didn't see those on there either.

OP - eBay or Amazon are most likely your best bets? I just picked up a set of Tour Concepts (from roughly the same time frame) off Amazon 3-W brand new, but those older sets are getting scarce!

I believe what Howard is suggesting is that PFC dealers can get the shafts from TT.

I recently bought two sets of Tour Concepts in stiff and regular flex. Trully grreat shafts. Both are installed in MP 14 heads. I play them both and honestly prefer the stiff version. Saw done sets on the bay this week.

True Tempers web pages has never been "updated right", but since 2012, RIFLE has been PFC exclusive, so they are not sold by any other, all authorized places who sells them is part of the PFC system, the same goes for PX HZRDUZ line and several other models, but yes, it does not show on their web, but ive been part of the PFC system since January 2011, thats how i know.

They do tell it on the PX page where RIFLE is hidden in the bottom.

I asked about Rifles in an e-mail recently to True Temper. The rep said TT had been making Rifles since they bought the patents from Royal Precision.

I think you want 4.5 or 5.5 in Taper Tip 0.355". Tapers come in variable weight... not sure it they're flighted from factory; you might have to hardstep, normal and softstep to get flighted.

it would make a set with a large difference in shaft weight from the longest to the shortest,(about 15 grams net) and since he is asking for either 5.0 or Flighted, my suggestion is to go 5.5 Tapers and soft step them all once, that would make them 5.1 but with a launch higher than standard 5.0 would have been for the whole set.

Another way around this is to soft step and then tip trim tapers to get them on a steeper slope to make them flighted like its done with the parallels. We no longer mix shaft blanks to make them flighted, but alter the tip trim slope from the standard 4.25 to 5.56 between clubs.

This can be done on tapers to, but most heads will need a ream job to 0.370 when we tip trim more than 3/8 on a taper tip shaft, and then it really dont make any sense to start from Tapers, unless the slope becomes easier to get that way. (i have to do the math to look it over, but it can be done)

There is no offers on ready sets as Flighted from TT, so its all up to the PFC dealer to handle and modify the shafts so it fits the players needs, and most PFC centers are more than willing to help out with that, also for those who wants to install the shafts them self.
