Disney resort --- Palms or Magnolia?

I have a round of golf to play as part of a family Disney trip in a couple months that I can use for either the Palms or Magnolia. Opinions on which one to play? I'm assuming there's not much (if any) difference in course conditions. I'd probably favor fun over difficult. This will be in May in case that makes a difference as far as conditions.

I believe my options are Palm or Magnolia. I take it the Lake Buena Vista course is the best of the 3?

Magnolia was pretty good last week good conditions. Fairly forgiving. Falcons Fire was fun too for the winter swing. Grand Cypress South was a bear. Wasn’t ready for that one

Of the three courses at Disney, I like Palm the best (since Osprey Ridge was closed)

Palm by a mile for me. The former Osprey Ridge is now Tranquilo and owned by Four Seasons and was recently converted to fully private.

My twin brother goes to Orland alot and he always plays Magnolia at Disney and he loves it.

I'm heading to Orlando Saturday and might play Celebration or one of the Disney courses

Don't mean to hijack, but my brother in law and I are planning to play one of the Disney courses the last day we are there, a Friday, for a family trip. It looks like the Palm has a couple tee times open a bit before noon, but we're taking whatever airport shuttle Disney offers to the airport around 430. How is the pace of play at Palm? I'm usually done on my home courses here in about 3-3.5 hours, but if it's a "consistent" 4.5-5 hour round, we'll probably have to pass.

Played the three Disney courses last week (Palm and LBV twice, Magnolia once). I actually like all three, but would probably give the Palm course the edge. They were all in excellent shape, and the greens were just about perfect (especially considering the amount of play they get).

 

Zeeto - While the folks at Arnold Palmer Golf have made efforts toward improving pace of play at the Disney courses, a 4.5 hour round is typical, (and can definitely run longer). I have played them in 4 hours, but I think you'll be hard pressed to shave it down to 3.5 hours. There is always the 9 hole walking course, Oak Trail, that shares some of the real estate with Magnolia. That might be a viable option for you.

Do yourself a favor and sell your free round, take the money and go play Southern Dunes down the road.

No way to play a Disney course in under 4 hours unless you are the first group out. Just played Palm last Saturday with a 9:45 tee time. Finished at 2:15 and we waited for the group ahead every shot.
