Titleist 841 blades - conflicting photos

Anyone who owns or used to own these?
I just bought a set of Titleist 841s. I believe these were only produced in 1984. (according to Titleist's site and to the Golfworks book).

However, these irons do not look like the ones on Titleist's site nor in the book.
I have never seen a set of those.

The irons I bought, I have seen on another site, as well as a member of another forum who owned the same set.

Does anyone know if there were two different types of 841s produced, or perhaps the set in Titleist's photo was a prototype that was never released that way.

Mine are stamped 841 on the topline, rather than on the muscleback...ADBF1B26-E276-4180-B682-B86B3DE9103B.jpeg.33dc2d569a9e4548cd3c6941e76093a7.jpeg

The version depicted on the Titleist page is the first 1984 production release of the LE Tour Model 841 irons. Your model is the same exact club but the 2nd release of the 1984 Tour Model 841 irons. The change in the script from lower case "e" to uppercase "E" was according to Titleist, to make it more difficult for someone else to copy/counterfeit....then they changed it back to their standard script later that same year. Why? No one I talked to really knows........

I just picked up a 2-pw set of 841s, very excited, got ‘em cleaned and wiped (for some reason people just keep selling dirty clubs, and lots of buyers see that as damage) and they are SPARKLING. I am interested to know more, it has been hard to find any info on them. The titleist page SUCKS at historical data... I mean seriously, would it be that hard to post production notes, marketing points, pros that played them, titles (come on TITLEIST) won by the set, etc. Anyhoo, I would be stoked to learn more on the history of the model. Thanks all!!

I tried for awhile and gave up. Posted a discussion on this board and the Titleist forum and gut zilch.

Best I found was 1 year of production in the 80’s. That’s it.

My set is 1-SW and in immaculate condition. Even had the original Neuman leather grips.

Search for Titleist 841 and you’ll find my posts.

Enjoy your set, they truly are beautiful!6bxus8pehx0r.jpeg

You might get more information if you posted this in the Classic Clubs subforum. Lots of very knowledgeable people there that might not ever see your post here.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
