Well , the day came where my daughter turned to me and said I want to play golf. This was as I was watching the Open. 

We went straight to the driving range and her first set was purchased, we have been to the range twice in the last 3 days and she has been chipping out the back and to my courses putting green.

I always said to my wife I would never force golf on her so it's a proud day when she is coming and asking to go hit balls. She is only 5 but loving it so far. Let her hit it hard and teach her to chip and putt.

 

Also means Dad gets more practice in.

Congrats! My daughter is 9 and starting to get into it as well. Great thing for Dad and daughter.

My wife and I are the same way and have chosen not to force our kids into any activities.

 

Unfortunately my kids haven’t chosen Golf, but as long as they’re happy and doing something they enjoy that’s all that matters.

Yeh, I hope she can try as much stuff as she can. But for now I'm lucky she has chosen golf.

My daughter’s really into Gymnastics, and my son is into Basketball. But as long as they’re having fun and learning work ethic and discipline it’s all good with me.

 

If they ever got into Golf though that would be a bonus for sure, Lol.

Hi All

 

Well my season hasn't really been going to plan with my last 4 tournaments being a struggle.

My last tournament I was out in 45 (10 over) 🤢, came back in 33 ( 2 under). Handicap jumped about between 1.5 and 3.2

Just very inconsistent mostly off the tee which has always been my strength.

 

My set up had been 

Driver: TSI 2 , 8* , Ventus Red 

4 wood: Ping G400, 16.5*, Speeder evolution.

Hybrids: Ping G20, 20* and 23* , tour AD DI.

 

I play Links golf in the Westcoast of Scotland and my Hybrids have been ballooning off tee when playing for position.

 

I have decided to swap things about for the end of year as my season is pretty much over with work commitments.

 

New Driver 

Tour Callaway Rogue St TD (Non LS)

 

Still havent Decided which shaft but most likely between a ventus Red and Ventus TR blue. Possibly up in weight to 70g range.

 

Then this next club surprised me and replaced my 4 wood and 20 degree hybrid.

 

Tour Callaway Apex Uw 19 at 17.9*

Ventus blue 8, this is a rocket.

 

Then all that was left was my 23* g20 hybrid.

Ended up sticking my old G400 crossover 22* in the bag packed with leadtape to get the swingweight to D4. Lower flight and more penetrating than my hybrid.

I think Its safe to say that I will never sell my G20 hybrids. But hoping this set-up will keep me in play. Will update once I decide on a shaft for Driver.

Hi all, 

Well I have made it Well documented how much I've struggled this season.

Over the last week I've made a few Significant changes to the bag.

Hybrids are out. PXG 2 and 4 iron in the bag. Both with Accra 80i shafts to compliment my irons.

 

Callway TC 💎 💎 💎  has a Ventus Black 7s @ 44.5".

 

Played today in a sweep with some regulars and finally got in the RED this Year first for a little while.

So happy with how I played.

Well my trusty Ping hoofer I've had for 10 years finally split at the base.

So I've been wanting a Vintage style bag for a while. Picked up this minimalist Stitch SL1 heritage.

Should suit me since I don't carry alot in my bags.

Well clubs are in the new bag and I must say I love it.

First round today in the wind and rain and it was perfect.

Just home from Turkey a few days ago and played a few rounds in Belek.

Anyone going I would highly recommend the Montgomery Course it's brilliant.

 

hire clubs were decent taylormade CB/MB combo and some Jetspeed woods.

was beer filled and enjoyable. Managed to card a 5 over 77 so was happy with that

Boy the G400 Crossover, I haven't seen one of those in ages, and have several of them in the garage.  I could easily replace my 3h and 4i with the 19/22 ones.  They're missile launchers.

Range session today dialing in the driver.

Winter months are definitely creeping in as I was slow today , carry was at the 250 range(with range balls) but was extremely straight with a good smash factor.

Loving this Callaway Rogue ST and ventus black combo.

 

 

Driver strike location getting much better. Struggled this year with it.
