Short Stop in Orlando

Staying at Disney Boardwalk next week,

 

Only have time to play a couple of rounds, Thoughts on these?

 

Disney Magnolia, Palm?

Grand Cypress?

Falcon's Fire?

 

Need to try and stay close to hotel - will be taking Uber to get around? Also which is the best golf shop for Nike Apparel?

Was in Orlando 2 weeks ago for some business and played 2 rounds at the New Course - Grand Cypress, course was in great shape and it's always a unique experience.

 

I've ready some complaints in here about Falcon Fire - pace of play and condition, can't speak to the Disney courses.

They have the nike outlet near by. Avoid falcon due to pace of play.

 

I Like magnolia over palm. Grand Cypress new Course was just aerated. Cypress North South is in great conditions but rounds are about 4.5 hour long. They closed the east course down this week due to aerification.

Palm would be my first choice. Plus, after the round you can park the cart by the Shades of Green sports bar after the round. LBV is good, too.

Falcons is nearby but underwater, literally talking to the boys back there now, Grand Cypress new is a cool idea, but it’s not maintained properly. Good shape, but too green for what they present.

Avoid celebration as well they’re saturated. Orlando has been getting pummeled by rain apparently.

 

Best draining course out there would probably be Orange Lake Legends, we capped it with sand the other 36 holes would be nearly unplayable but Legends would have few restrictions because the sand let water percolate through the profile.

 

There’s outlets on 192, Lake Buena Vista (535), Lake Bryan Outlets right off i4, plus PGA Superstore right off Sand Lake.

 

Enjoy The Boardwalk one of my favorite places to stay if we overnight a Disney trip.

And for Nike clothes go to the 'Nike Clearance Store' and/or the 'Nike Outlet'
