Fairly settled on this set right now. Plan to spice it up with some BB&F ferrules. Love the original Ping L8 bags - wish somebody made exactly this today. Very tempted by a Jones or MacKenzie Walker but I’m a card carrying member of the push cart mafia so the lack of structure to the bags make them difficult to use.

 

Also a fan of lead tape and crudely adjust wedge grinds myself.

Love it love the rust and lead tape too. Yep the L-8 is a classic I have a classic Hoofer myself same era as your L-8--- I can not believe it someone else putts with a rusty Santa Fe too

Love the Santa Fe. The flow neck tie hang works great for me. I always thought the Santa Fe was the same head shape as the Newport but compared them recently. Santa Fe looks shorter and wider than my Newport tel3.
