DG 105 vs DG 120

I realize there is a weight difference between these shafts but I am wondering about the relative stiffness of these shafts. I have the 105 (S300) in a 4 iron and have tested the 120 ( S300) in a fitting cart set up and thought that the 120 felt noticeably stiffer than the 105. Anybody have any thoughts on this one tested them in a more detailed way?

i chose the 105 and i did hit the 120 , i felt the 105 were smoother in transistion im not sure they were stiffer feeling but harsher would be my comparison for them this is the s300 i was so happy to find them i was a nippon 105 guy but the dg105 feels just as smooth as the nippon but better trajectory for me

The extra weight of the 120 will make the feel as though the are stiffer. Also, the 105 is softer in the handle than the 120 which allows it to load more.

I found the 105 has a very nice transition for P790, and the 120 was a little bit “stiffer” feeling due to the weight. I am currently deciding between the two, came from KBS CTaper 105, and wondering if anyone knows wether I should go 120 or 105 S300? I did a trackman fitting and here are my numbers for 105 S300. The 120s felt nice as well and got similar distances, and the 120 felt a little more stable but certainly took more to swing it over the 105.

I recently received a set of the new version P790’s with DG105 shafts. My experience thus far has been similar to what I’ve seen in other posts. TT has done an excellent job of maintaining feel across the various weights. They do seem to play stiffer, particularly in terms of tip flex. Mine are S300 standard setup. I find that the PW through around 6 iron work very well, but the flight and spin characteristics of the 4 and 5 iron are loosing significant distance. Such things are difficult to determine when your fit is only to the 7 iron, unfortunately. If I was to do this again, I’d probably go with the KBS Tour105.

The DG 105 has the stiffest tip of the DG line, if you look at the EI profiles. TT does that, to maintain the character of the DG line. If you personally feel, the 120 being stiffer, it might be due to the extra weight and slightly firmer butt section.

I been around the block with trying different shafts.

Can anybody tell me the difference between the KBS range of shafts versus the TT  Dynamic gold 105 or 120 range.
