I have been thinking about picking one up just to see how it plays? I have read most of the reviews on here and I am just wondering if there is any newer reviews out there.

... while i prefer the adams BTY, the nickent 4dx is a very forgiving driver. i built a 12* d-spec with an a-flex nvs for mrs chisag, and she is driving the ball better than ever. the d-spec produces a softening of a fade or slice. it is a minor flight correction, nothing like a draw inducing driver imo. where the nickent really excels is mishits. she tends to hit the ball low in the heel, or high on the toe and the results are outstanding. not quite a center hit of course, but she is hitting the ball farther on those mishits and by quite a margin with direction being marginally effected. if i was not so thrilled with the dense feel/sound of the BTY (going for $149 btw) i could put up with the louder and hotter sounding/feeing 4 dx for it's of center performance.

I just got the T spec in 10.5 with the standard UST SR3 shaft in stiff. I have only had one range session with it and I have to say the more balls i hit with it the better I seemed to hit the ball. I found that whilst i would still block the ball right with a bad swing it wouldnt end up a total disaster!!!!!

 

Compared with my old driver I was flying the ball around 220 metres. With the 4dx I was regularly hit the back fence of the range on the full which is 250 Metres. So needless to say I am very happy with this driver ;) I know alot of people make thes claims but I was honestly taken aback with how far the ball was flying.

 

I dont find this driver loud compared to my Mactec NVG2. In fact I find the sound very solid!!!

 

For the price you can find this driver you will be hard pressed to find anything that matches it in my opinion. Whilst Nickent doesnt have the name or resale value of some of the other brands, this driver goes head to head with them anyday of the week!!

Driver was astonishingly long...had the 9* Tour Spec Model. didn't like how light the head was tho.

 

First paired it up with a VS Proto 80-S and while the combo was loooong, i was very inconsistent with it.

 

Tried a Grafalloy Bimatrx Proto in X and it straightened this head up a little bit....but when it came down to choosing between this and my Tour Issue HiBore...had to go with the HiBore as it is just too damn straight and reliable.

 

If the 4dx was maybe 2* more open It'd prolly be in my bag, just couldn't stop hitting it left tho.
