Titleist 620 vs 716mb ( offset specs )

Reported less offset , only iron set from titleist that doesn’t have offset specs listed . Marketing BS??? Or legit TMAG R9 TP b stamp offset :wink:

 

Prob too early , anyone got their hands on 620?

A blade is a blade. It'll just come down to feel and look. They are all very very nice, though. You can't go wrong.

I ordered a set of the 620s and I am happy to report they have less offset than the 716mb. Prior to the 620s, I played the 716mb for the last 3+ years and I loved those to death, but these new ones feel better, look better, etc. I have played 3 rounds and a few range sessions with them and I am in love with them. I ordered mine with the Project X LZ 6.5 shafts and the feel is incredible. My old set had the Project X 6.0 and they were good, but my dispersion and trajectory has improved over the last few rounds. Very happy with them and would recommend them to anyone considering them.

I had a chance to hit the CB's this weekend, and they are fabulous. I've always liked the TItleist CB's but have never put them in the bag (always found something else to try), but I may have to seriously look at these. These may be the first club that could kick my Srixon 745's out of the bag. Smooth swinging, soft sweet spot and great flight for me.

The 620 offset reduction is noticeable. That said, I just bought some mint 716 MB heads to combo in. If I had the cash I'd be going 620 MB. They're beautiful.

i have the 718 MB and they don't look to have much offset at all. I am curious to look at and hit a 620 MB.

I was telling myself the same thing, and my 716 are bent -1 * weak , taking a slight bit of offset out. IMOP the 620 look R9 TP BStamp Txxxxx zero offset-ish

those have about as much bag appeal as anything ever made... sweet look on the ferrules too. Any update after a few weeks with them - pros (any cons)? I might replace my mid-short irons and these are at the top of the list. Playing 945s now and the heavily cambered sole on the 620 is right up my alley.

those where the 1” or so , their std is longer which would have looked huge.

imop the most noticeable delta btw 620 and 716

620 a touch softer, not mizzy grain flow soft but more so than 716. offset and ball flight - same specs as my 716’s lofts -1* weak loft , -1 flat 620 mb lie specs , even same Tix100 HSx1 shafts , fly just a touch straighter for me . Of note per my club builder the heads are a bit heavier less need for tip weights . D4-5 +1/2” , 1/8” spacing 7-pw the pw is wonderful, I use it for chipping when possible. Turf interaction is greatmist subjective of all, I think they look demonstrably better than the 716, but “bag beauty “ accounts for zero reduction of scores
