Golf Simulator in Arlington, VA?

I am looking for a golf simulator in Arlington, VA to use for practice during the winter. I am a Golftec member, but all the closest ones are 20 minutes away. Arlington and/or Annandale would work; East Falls Church might be ok.

 

For awareness the closest Golftecs are South Alexandria, Tysons, Gaithersburg and Bethesda. So closer than all those places.

I haven't been there, but it looks like Pinecrest has an indoor facility, near the corner of Little River Turnpike and Braddock Road

That really takes me back, as a kid I played at Pinecrest when there were 9 holes of regulation golf and 18 holes of par-3.

The Pinecrest facility is fantastic. They built a completely private room with a TM4 and they leave you alone - its not like they sit there and watch you to make sure you arent breaking anything. You can close the door, put on music, crack a couple beers - whatever. And they sell pretty decent beers there too for a good price.

 

Price was $50 for the first hour, $30 for additional hours. So if you rented it for two hours IMO its worth it. Only downside is the hinky reservation system, at least last year you couldnt book two consecutive hours, you had to call them or email. And that wasnt their fault, it was the county computer system that they used.

 

My brother and I used it a half dozen times this past winter, nothing but good things to say about it. Depending on where you are in Arlington or the time of day - I'd say its about 15 minutes from you.

FWIW they also have indoor practice bays if you have your own Trackman or Mevo and just want to hit balls indoors without a simulator. I think those bays were $10 or $15 an hour.

It wouldn't surprise me if there's an indoor simulator at Washington Golf and CC, , but not one that you or I can use.

There are some apartment buildings with simulators as an amenity - most are Full Swing simulators (so not the best). I know Thomas Place in Ballston has one and Avalon Columbia Pike has one as well if you're considering moving.
