Spine angle on driver?

Yesterday I was topping some drives and then slicing them real bad and I think it had to do with me lifting up swinging through. Is there something you can do to combat this? When I stay "down" through the driver swing when just swinging my driver I feel my left lower back getting tight and hurting slightly.

Is this right?

Also should your arms be out further like Moe Norman or should you have more of a bend at your elbows and forearms?

Further out seemed to work real well for Moe, but you better get the iron lie angle adjusted. Nowadays at impact you're going for some right elbow bend and a straightish left arm. Staying down will make you use muscles you didn't use before, so I think it's normal you feel a little tight, but I would work in that movement slowly and with video to make sure you're doing it right (preferably with professional help as it's a major change in your swing).

If you are topping some, and leaving others out to the right, an immediate suspect would be that you can't get your hips out of the way, so your upper body has to tilt back to get out of the way of your arms; one or the other has to happen on a full swing. You are talking about the driver, but likely it's happening with ALL of your full swings; it's just most noticeable with the driver.

Get yourself to a good teaching pro that uses video and find out. It could be an easy fix, but it could also be something that needs to be addressed more through flexibility and mobility work before the golf swing that you want and need to make becomes consistently possible.

(I'll add this: IF you aren't clearing your hips and getting your weight into the front side, but instead are tilting your spine back to get out of the way, back pain is quite possibly in your future. Most back pain in golfers is a symptom of a problem somewhere else, and a lack of mobility in the hips is one of the most common causes. The lumbar spine isn't meant for that sort of stress.)

What helped me maintain spine angle throughout my downswing was the feeling of throwing the club head behind me. This was of course after cleaning up my back swing flaws. This video is exactly what I do:
