Another vote for Titleist Velocity, please! Playing next weekend, I was going to pick up a dozen and give them a try, but I value the opinions of every poster here, I'd love some feedback before I spend the $27...and possibly play a ball that will cost me strokes.

I bought a dozen Titleist Velocity to try out this weekend, I'll post a review here on Monday. I am definitely a sucker for hype and packaging, but BOY, the orange color and markings look badass!

I finally got to play the [b]Titleist Velocity[/b] yesterday. All I can say is, "WOW!". I was easily, easily a club length closer with my approach shots. The combination of the Titleist Velocity and my new Diablo Octane driver were money. I used driver on all 14 holes I was able to, and the ball positively leapt off the face. The hype was true for me, and the ball performed just as Jim Nantz advertises on the commercials. Explosive distance and a deep down field trajectory yielded my best score of the past 5 years, an 88.

All of that being said, you can tell by my score that I'm not a low-handicapper. But I found that even with hybrids or fairway woods, the ball had a nice, high flight, and I was able to stop it on the greens with pretty much everything from a 4-hybrid down. Putting feel was great too; I sank a 25-footer to save par on the first hole, and only 3-putted twice the entire round.

I am so happy that I've finally found a Titleist ball that suits my game. They truly are the #1 ball in the world for a reason. I'm very interested to see other opinions, but this ball was excellent for me.
